Iran dominated from minute 20 onward. Sustained possession, good combinations through the midfield and created good amount of scoring opportunities.
First goal RB was caught sleeping, 2nd goal was GK mistake on FK (also wall separating). Besides these 2 moments again team structure has been good.
Biggest issue of this team is the front 3. The wingers (eslamtalab on right scored the goal) are talented dribblers but not good decision makers. Ghorbani especially is frustrating in this regard, way too many give aways.CF Saharkhizan doesn't impact the game enough, particularly in the box.
So far great showing again by Hazbavi.
If they keep playing how they finished the half the game is there for the taking.
Really disappointing to concede two goals from this Australia side who are without their African offensive players Yaya Dukuly and especially Kuol, who was their diference maker in the qualifiers.
"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

Iran’s legs are gone and very stagnant in offense, not much creativity or clear chances.
Samad has not made any changes
I expect IRI to lose to Vietnam as well.

Aussies almost score a fourth! It would have been well deserved by them. They are dominating IRI.
It was saved off the line.
