Saudis have been largely owning Iranian clubs in the last few years and Saudi clubs have won 2 ACL titles in the last 4 years.
The last time Iranian won an ACL was in 1992 ...

Al Hilal did not play a better game than foolad….they just had more luck on their side. Foolad players should be proud of their performance aside from that useless sob who sucked (pretty sure it’s the guy nokhodi mentioned) when he came on and basically helped Al Hilal.
interested to see how they do in the Iranian league going forward now and to see who will take over for them as head coach.Team Meli Iran
Perspolis FC

Forgot that Younes Delfi is on Foolad.
He went from one of our most promising prospects to not mentioned at all."This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. I didn't say we shouldn't invest... with the proper investments, we could do the same, if not better
Al Hilal is the only Saudi team that has had serious success with winning. No others have won trophies in recent history. PP and Zob Ahan have been in the finals three times combined since 2010

The 9th placed team in our league gave AL-Hilal hell.
The few good results can also be explained by the fact that iranians can raise suddenly their level against stronger opponents but only one shot mode
