Queiroz got us from the doldrums to one of the best teams in Asia - we can never forget that
After decades of watching Iranian football, he gave me so much pride. Never experienced this feeling in the previous decades.
I wish him the best but hope that Qatar has an issue with him and he leaves them before the cup starts.
I would hate to see Qatar vs Iran... I have no big problem with Ghalenoei and think he is the best choice for Iran in the current climate, but I genuinely have a premonition that Iran with our overweight only midfielder against a very fit Qatar with Queiroz discipline and psychological tricks could be our biggest humiliation* and feel free to bookmark or quote this tweet.
(Iran vs Japan and Iran vs England were not humiliations, they were par).

For Iran to have any chance at the AC we need our lineup to come together, things to go right, luck to go our way, and THEN show discipline in every game. It's a lot to ask for

Right now its hard to predict anything. Right now we dont know how the coach Will play, which players he prefer, how the players connect and so on and so on.
After some friendlies we Can get a better picture of where we stand
from a non bias view, we arent among the favorites, but the bracket right under. I Think we are fourth of fifth among the favourites. Maybe that isnt bad. I Think we are better in an underdog role.
As always I Will support the team and try to be positive and believe in the team. But if we see it rationally, then there are soo many question Marks. So saying anything other than the title being a disappointment is dellusional. We havnt won the trophy since the 70s. We have no right to act like we are entitled to the title. We are basically the England of Asia. Chokers.
I really really hope that we soon see an asian trophy. Many members including myself have never seen Iran win it before

We are ranked 24 in the world a top 30 team that in it self is enough leverage to have a lot of team interested in playing us in a friendly games …. You know who we have lined up in June
Afghanistan ranked 155
Kyrgyzstan 96
look who Jordan got
Serbia 30
Jamaica 62
Norway 36
Azerbaijan 128 **
you know that Azerbaijan is much stronger than their ranking suggests
when I mean GN is not competent this is what I mean he ain’t planning anything at allYou do not have permission to view this gallery.

As if Carlos Queiroz was competent enough 2 asian cups and humilation exits in both?
Stop blaming GN for everything you make yourself looking un-educated. GN said he likes to play with strong opponents. We are under sanctions federation is short on Cash. Understand the reality stop blaming the coach.

Let me tell you something, both Iran friendlies Russia and Kenya, the opponent scored first, and both games we were able to make it back. When was the last time this happens under Queiroz? During the USA game???
If GN was our coach during that game we would have managed a draw. It was embarrassing how Queiroz managed that game.
And about Sardar Azmoun, stop worshipping him, if he is not fit he has no place in Team Mell, period. If he cant run 90 minutes at age 28, we won't need him next world cup either.

We still have a few CQ-worshippers left though. According to them CQ made us play to our limits. If we lost a game it was never CQ fault, it was ”the reality of where our football stands”. What a joke!
CQ riid to fotbale mamlekat o raft. Nothing else.Esteghlal 💙💙

I ain’t a CQ supporter, I never liked the way we played under him.
Irregardless of what your opinion is, your assertion are wrong, GN is a lame duck , he ain’t helping us get better , we will see soon.

However I do agree with you about how Jordan and others such as Iraq, Qatar, Oman, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Uzbekistan play teams from UEFA, CONMEBOL, CONCACAF, yet Iran Football Federation always chasing Arabs from West Asia likes of Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Oman!!!
Jordanians maliciously invited Team Melli for a 4-nation tournament in Amman to be played in October, teams being Jordan, Iran, Iraq and Qatar. Then Football Federation is trying to setup friendly with Saudi Arabia for September!!! Likes of Jordan friendlies you mentioned, Iraq friendly with Colombia, Qatar's friendlies with Jamaica and New Zealand and also participation in Gold Cup means they all have great preparations and by inviting Iran to Jordan tournament and friendly with Saudi means that Team Melli misses out on playing strong teams or at least any team from outside of asia!!!
There are so many teams that Team Melli can play in September and October such as Mexico, Costa Rica, Japan, Turkey, Montenegro, Senegal, Nigeria, Ghana, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Mali, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Congo DR, Burkina Faso or others such as Panama, Honduras, El Salvador, Haiti, Jamaica, North Macedonia, Armenia, Latvia, Moldova, Uganda, Guinea, Zambia, China PR.

I disagree with you about June's opponents. This is the first ever CAFA Nations Cup and great opportunity for uncapped and less experienced footballers to gain experience and make an empression on the coaching staff. Apart from Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan, a team from Africa will be placed in the group as well. Name of team will be announced sometime next week. If Team Melli wins the group will then play Oman or Uzbekistan in the final.
