That’s what i’ve been saying all along. We need a coach who installs winning mentality in our boys. Nothing more is needed really for us to win the tournament.

Sadly we’ve had worthless coaches like CQ portraying us as underdogs in groups with the likes of Bahrain & UAE. How the hell are we supposed to win the tournament with a mentality like that?

Iran will win the tournament, if we enter the tournament with the mentality that we will.

I totaly agree, but dont get your hopes to high, the current situation of our country is a big mess and we dont even know if I.R will still be around by then, and if the akhond filths are gone we dont know how the situation will be in that vaccum before a new government is in place .

Winning mentality is great. The problem is few coaches know how to install a winning mentality. Most Iranian coaches and the useless Wilmots types just instill it as "We are Iran" and stop there.

There's a lot more than a winning mentality needed to win, I'm just starting:

1) Solid defensive partnership(we don't have one)
2) An actual staple RB/LB
3) A midfield that isn't half retired/in second division leagues
4) Wingers that don't try to go on Winning Eleven Seven 50 meter dribbling runs and know how to trap, cross, and shoot.
5) ****************************Players that don't moan and run to the referee for every call and play to the whisle ************************************

Not really. If coaches troughout the years had installed a winning mentality in our boys, we wouldn’t have had 6 semifinal losses out of 6 possible lol.

But to answer your concerns:

1. Hosseini/PAG will be good enough for AC level. Drop Khalilzadeh/Kanaani and bring 2 out of Kor/Hazbavi/Aref Gholami for backup.
2. Ramin & Ehsan are both in good form and are enough for AC. Bring Jalali & Moharrami as backup.
3. Kick out Ezatolahi & Nourollahi. Mehri & Cheshmi should start, with A.Karimi & Ghoddos (i would like to try him out in a more defensive role) as backup.
4. Sayyadmanesh, Mohebbi & Ghaedi should be included.
5. CQ is not there so we won’t have the same problem this year.

Oh yeah you’re right, i almost forgot about that tax-evading snake Branko. Earlier in that tournament, he instructed Badavi & Rezaei to slap eachother during one game instead of concentrating on the opponents.
