You consider this score line and this statistics as Iraq dominating?!?!

I was talking about the first half. Russia outclassed them in the second half. But first half, Iraq had more chances. Iraq is not much of a team anyway. Russia could have scored 2-3 more goals in the second half.

        It is not self-harm.

I am deeply disappointed that we had such a great football manager in CQ who built a successful program that led to improvements, but instead of building on that progress, we have regressed 15 years with Amir Ghaleneoi. CQ's time was up, I get it but we should have built on that. For me, being optimistic about this situation that doesn't seem to deserve it is difficult, and I don't see a positive outcome.

Iraq (The Persian Gulf Cup Champions) surprised me. I thought they were going to lose by 3-4 goals but they managed to keep the scoreline at 0-2.

Russia looked no way as good as they did against us. They looked tired, since they played 3 dags ago in Tehran and Iraq was resting... If they had played like they did against us, the scoreline would have been 3- or 4-0.

Iraq is not Persian Gulf champs, they beat a bunch of B and C teams from other countries in that fake-name tournament. Plus, we are the best team in the Persian Gulf (would like us to see us vs. Saudi for that), Saudis have always been our boogey-man team.

Russia played new players today, much more inexperienced than what they played against us. So their players were fresh.

I ain’t defending CQ I hated his tactics, and his style of play…

I love this new attacking style we just need to refine it , be more clinically in-front of goal and have more composure when we are attacking…
              I love it too.
Very refreshing to see TM play modern offensive football. If we play with the same attacking mentality vs the big asian teams, the cup is ours.

We're 100% the best team in Persian Gulf. But since we joined CAFA and don't play in Persian Gulf Cup, they're the champions.

Hmm looks like you're correct about the lineup. Still it was enough to outclass Iraq.
Iran will beat this Iraq team by 5 goals.

We did the opposite, snubbing quality euro legionnaires and foreign born players for our ipl crap just because they did a nice chest pass once. It will only be worse with GN who is racist against foreign based players to favor his mafia IPL mediocrity and foreign euro losers. As much we will continue to overrate and glorify our league, it will continue

Euro legionnaires are important, but only those who play regularly.
PGL best players > Euro bench warmers.

Mohebbi for example was a big disappointment and was wasting his talent on the bench in Portugal.
Ever since he got back to Esteghlal his level has improved, and we all saw how good he was against Russia.

PGL is becoming better & better each year.
With the level of PGL in 2023, no 2nd league belgian player can get into the starting lineup of TM.
In 2012 that was possible, not in 2023.

We don't win against the top-tier teams because we play fearful - we just don't have the talent to compete against top 10 teams. No IPL-level player will make the difference either.

Again, people shouldn't expect miracles. Amir G. is a nobody in world football and he has no special tactics or game plan that will get us ahead. No top-100 national teams would ever hire this guy. But he has a job with Iran because he is Iranian.

Remember, QFs in the Asian Cup is where it will end.

The same Russian team we played tied powerhouses Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
Yes we played scared anti-football against them in 2018 lol.
I'm not saying we should beat Brazil & Argentina. I'm talking about beating the likes of Japan & S.Korea.

Walid Regragui only has a job with Morocco because he's moroccan. What´s your point?

Yes it will end in QF if we play CQ-style, or in SF if we have a lucky draw like 2019.

But now we have an offensive-minded coach & we will win the title.

We constantly beat South Korea under CQ, we didn't lose in like 8 years ... Walid will get a job in many places now, a lot of teams would hire him if he was a free agent. No one would hire Amir G.

Nah they're playing with confidence that Regragui installed in them. Halilhodzic impact ended the day Regragui took over.
They're playing fearless and we must do it as well.

Ghalenoei might also get job offers if we win AC.
Ofc not the same offers as Regragui, because the WC is something else. But he will get good offers in Asia.

Walid would never have had these job offers you speak of, if Morocco hadn't given him a chance.

                              CQ beat S.Korea in WCQ...
In KO-stages of AC he would have lost every time, because he lacks the bravery needed in those do or die games.
