this list was his first list put together in short time. There is 7 league and qf,sf,f of hazfi left as well which General will watch these matches and if pgl players Like jalali want to be seen and get call up this is good time to perform under pressure . Plus jalali is not a regular starter in ss either but he will get start come this Friday.
In june we shall see a real general list.

He shouldn't think too much about it and invite all the deserving players from Esteghlal to the next camp.
Aref, Jalali (if he getĀ“s playing time),Mehri & Ghayedi must all be invited to our next camp in June.
We can all agree that weĀ“ve always had problem with preparation games for TM.
In some situations in our history it would have been better to just go with the players from the best club +2-3 star players.
For example if Ghotbi had taken Esteghlal 2008/2009 squad+2/3 other players to 2010 WCQ we would have qualified.
If CQ had gone with Persepolis 2018/2019 squad+2/3 other players to 2019 AC we would have won the tournament.

Since the other thread got closed, i will answer your post here Ghermez Agha. Hopefully you will see it.
"yeah man youāre trolling hard if youāre talking about hat trick of world cups and canāt even acknowledge that hat trick of world cups didnāt even exist before CQ came around.
In 2014, after not making it to the World Cup in 2010 cycle, the goal was to make it to the World Cupā¦.not go to the WC and advance from the group. Sure that was a good stretch goal but it was not an expectation.
2018 WCQās was the easiest, smoothest WCQ campaign in our history. Beat rivals SK both times and topped the group in back to back campaigns. Never did we dominate another Asian giant the way we did SK by beating them 4 consecutive timesā¦.go look at our record vs any other Asian giant (Japan, KSA, Australia) we have never had an era where we continuously beat one of them and maintain the Home ranking for 6-7 years both in FIFA and actual WCQs.
if you looked at that 2018 group and told yourself Iran needs to advance no excusesā¦.then again, youāre trolling or donāt understand the reality of Iranian footy and everything that comes with it.
as for 2022ā¦.again, if you canāt understand the most simple and basic realities of the situation that we were in and had it as an expectation to advanceā¦.same as above.
as for AC performances sure you can criticize him for 2019. I think itās a bit harsh to bc at the end of the day, the players lost focus and were trying to argue with the ref rather than play the game. I guess some of that is on CQ, I can accept 2019 as his failure. But that failure doesnāt trump everything else above about the clear and obvious ways in which we progressed under him."
We went to the WC 3 times before CQ.
Which means trial & error, being newcomers etc couldn't be brought up as excuses anymore.
ā
Our 4th WC meant it was logical to concentrate on qualifying to R16. Especially since we were in the same group as newcomers Bosnia & a Nigeria side who was nowhere near their best..
Az in rahattar?
He failed. He really should have been fired after that tournament, but for illogical reasons we stayed with him for another 5 years.
You're just bringing up excuses for every tournament Ghermez Agha. 2018 WC is the only tournament he can get away with.
Nobody cares about what happened during WCQ. It's the end tournament that counts.
For example, would you rather qualify to the WC through playoffs & advance to R16?
Or would you finish 1st in WCQ and crash out in GS?
The answer is clear & simple.

That Bosnia team was their best ever side with Dzeko, Pjanic, Begovic, and SalihoviÄ all in their primes. Player for player, they were 10x stronger than we were. nigeria weāre the African champs and like Bosnia, had a significant leg up on us talent wise. You have got to be another level of delusional to have it as an expectation to beat these teams when your federation canāt get you a preparation better than Montenegro and Guinea + a training camp facing South African clubs.
very convenient to disregard WCQs ānobody cares what happens in WCQsā when that absolutely matters especially when you have a history of failing in them. Youāre now not even able to acknowledge that in itself that is a major accomplishment and the logical first step to take when you come on as a coach leading a team that just failed to make it to the World Cup.
As for your questionā¦.of course I would rather go through play offs and advance at the WC. I donāt see how thatās relevant here though.Team Meli Iran

When you qualify for a 4th WC, just being there & playing good isn't enough anymore.
Success is now only in qualifying to R16.
Bosnia team was good but very beatable. Problem was our dear coach only used 15-16 players during the WC. If you look at the game vs Bosnia our team was out of stamina after 10 min.
What was the point of leaving out Khalatbari etc & bringing 10 defenders if you were not going to use them?
He could have brought at least 1 or 2 more attacking players who would have been very useful against Bosnia (where we needed a win).
Delusional? Give me a break.
Expecting Iran to qualify for R16 is nothing in comparison to Morocco reaching SF, Costa Rica reaching QF in group of death or even war-torn Iraq winning an AC.
My friend everything from his player selection & game plan made it very obvious CQ went to Brazil not to lose.
A defeatist attitude which cost us dearly in the end.
Nigeria was nowhere near the Nigeria of 1994,1998,2002 or even 2010 WC.
I thought it was obvious i meant nobody cares about WCQ as long as you qualify for the WC.
Maybe i wasn't clear enough.
It's very relevant in highlighting how meaningless WCQ is in comparison to the final tournament.
