Under general ,ghodoos will get a lot of playing time. He is type player general loves for his offense.....we havent had a true 8 or a coach that likes to use a 8 in tm for over 12 years. Ghodos will have ali karimi role under general.

4-4-2 Narrow or Diamond. It's what Branko and Skocic have used. Definitely better than the 4-2-4 that the General and Wiltits have used.

I would play Gholi as a LM. It would force him to play out wide looking for the swing ball which he can do well. I remember CQ played him as a LB in a friendly once and he was very lively.

4-4-2 Diamond can work. I think Saman’s best suited to play right behind the strikers. He has a good shot, and is good at quick combination play.

This would work lovely with Azmoun & Taremi. Sadly, this trio has hardly ever been tested in that set-up….
