Iran plays winner of Japan and Australia - which is tomorrow.
"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

The fields have been atrocious in Thailand - outside the one we played vs. South Korea.

The main task is most likely japan and then South korea (in finals). Congrats to our boyssss.

Any MD players that we could potentially use in future?

I just realized that I was talking about the wrong coach. They look so similar. The U-17 national team's coach is Byun Sung-hwan, not Lee Dong-gook who coaches the amateur team. Sorry about that.

As I said before Uzbek football has improved a lot . They just beat Saudi arabia by 2 goals. They will face South Korea in QF .

Interesting point is that Saudi beat Australia by 2 goals.

Iran vs Japan . IMO is the final . Winner of this game pretty much is the winner of the tournament.

BTW i gotta give credit to IFF for doing well in U17 - WAFF U23 tournaments. I mean managing all three teams is a huge task .

Uzbek youth football has been excellent for 10 years + now but it doesn’t translate to their main team for some reason.

Japan obviously is an excellent team and I agree it’s the real final.

Also I just learned today that the u-17 gk (Arsha Shakouri) is Hadi Shakouri’s son. Great to see.

Arab-free SF and final matches…as well as U17 WC (excluding any North African teams).

I disagree with you after looking at their results. This is the best results they got in past 10 years. 2018 they didn't even have a team in U16 (aka U17) and in 2016 and 2014 they were knocked out in QF.

They won U16 11 years ago ( back in 2012) which that also reflected their national team. . If you remember they narowly missed the WC due to GD. So My guess is that Uzbekistan will make it to WC 2026 and will do really well in Asian Cup 2023.

haven’t they done well in u20 and u23?

Uzbekistan has been investing a lot in football. They have been hosting multiple tournaments. This year (2022-2023) they have hosted CAFA, U23 , U20 etc...

You can see their improvements in U20 too. They just won AFC Asian cup U20 -2023 . In 2018 they didn't even have a team . 2016 kicked out in QF by us. 2014 got embrassed by North Korea in Semi by 5 goals.

Same goes to their U23 - They became runners up in AFC asian cup U23 - 2022.

But i think what you said applies to iraq. Iraq almost does well in most of their youth national team tournaments but fails to do anything in their senior national team. Correct me if i'm wrong but iraq has won Asian cup with their U16(17), U20 and U23 in past 10 years. Yet fails to have any decent player in europe.
