I think any Iranian player going to SA would cause some uproar. Plus going from PL to SA, is a big drop.

Despite the relations between Iran and SA thawing, there's still plenty of resentment towards SA from Iranians.

Also, I'm just trying to cope with the fact that it's most likely Mehdi that's going to SA.

Mehdis suitors all thankfully moved on to other targets. Mehdi, Sardar, ARJ, sadegh, Majid, etc have their heads on straight. It’s our young players who are idiots and prone to making bad career decisions. Hosseinzadeh was a big one this window, leaving for no apparent reason to tractor. Last year was mohebbi stupid choice to leave Portugal. Look how Yasin fucked himself up staying in sepahan. Now rumors about allahyar leaving hull…

I see in the end why CQ/others hesitated giving any of these guys game time.

Depends what real offers he had on the table. Bottom line is he still stayed in europe, for years he has had super rich offers from Qatar (Al sadd wanted him before Hazbavi) that he consistently passed on.
