What a freekick goal by Yasin Salmani.

      Iran 1 - Syria 0
"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

not a bad performance considering it was their first game as a team.

Regarding their talent level, they have a strong core to build on: Hazbavi + Fallah shielded by Ghorbani with Yasin further ahead. Ghorbani and Yasin have good understanding from Sepahan and are experienced in mens football for their age.

Shariatzadeh who scored nice goal today is also a reliable attacker for SNA. GN is big fan of Eslami and called him up for senior side last time. Saharkhizan from u20 was on bench today.

Key for this team will be figuring out the complementary pieces.

IMO, getting Allahyar and Yadegar involved would be key if they are serious about olympic target...

                    ------------------GK----------------

                    RB----Hazbavi----Fallah----LB

                    ---------------Ghorbani----------
                    -------Yasin--------------Yadegar

                    Shariatzadeh--Allahyar---Eslami/Saharkhizan

some of the younger guys from u20, although they ultimately failed with marfavi, should also be considered (Enayatzadeh, Torabi, Hosseinnejad all looked quite promising).

As usual with our TM omid better to have zero expectation, specially with enayati as coach, but not a bad start.

They could've and should've scored my goals. Not sure why they didn't push more. The goal difference might come back and hunt them.
