    What?

Korea had no Son or Min Jae. Their two best players. Between us and Korea right now they have the upper hand. We just have Taremi and Azmoun, one of which can only play 70 minutes

I see but why would player know how to come up with Defence system after analysis of other teams. Both Markar and Nekounam are managers . Not sure if a player can manage/coach a team.

highlights including azmoun's first half goal that live stream viewers couldn't see (Stream cut).

Was again a great ball by taremi and great finish by sardar. Called offsides but replays showed him to be level. OFC no VAR in CAFA when there was not even good replay system for stream viewers all night lol.

Korea had Son . He was subbed in 69th minute. But even if they had full house, Its a friendly game. No one cares about friendly games.

Thanks for the video, this is why they always tell ARs keep your flag down if it's very close. That's as close as it gets for offside decisions on a goal.

Im wondering what happened on the Kanaani red. Did he touch the ref or say some abusive language?

Iโ€™m glad we won, and experienced a new tournament. Letโ€™s be real tho, the first two teams we played were amateur at best and we canโ€™t take much from those games.

in my opinion, Uzbekistan player better than us and couldโ€™ve easily won If their speedy striker wasnโ€™t so selfish. I am blown away with how BAD Pouraliganji is at defense. The Uzbek player left him in the dust on every occasion. Hajsafi continues to baffle us as TM fans, the only thing consistent about him is his inconsistency. How this guy managed to play well in europe while being this horrible in TM for decades is a modern day mystery. Ramin is decent moving up front, but defending also poor at times. Kanaani is a beast at CB, but proved to be a moron and get a red card in a relatively useless game, when we were winning. If he loses his cool while we are winning, he will fold during a big game. Ghayedi thinks heโ€™s Ronaldinho but unfortunately his confidence does not match his skill in the slightest bit.

Standouts Iโ€™d say Niazmand saved us multiple times, and as always Azmoun and Taremi bailed us out. Azmoun looks fat and injury prone, which is shocking given that he normally only ever tries near the end of season. Worried what state he will be in after the summer. Cheshmi and Saeed were decent in the middle. The other subs all seemed to be below averages, and Mohebi was the better of the bunch.

I was happy to see TM finally take some shots outside of the 18 and not do a million predictable crosses (although Ramin manages to keep those numbers still high). Glad we got to win something after ages. Even if it doesnโ€™t mean anything. This will serve as a good indicator to where we are, in Asia compared to Japan or Korea. As Uzbekistan really pushed us. Thereโ€™s Lots of work to be done if we are gonna compete to win the AC. Iโ€™m happy we got to see TM play and that we took our A team, Congrats TM. Hoping for some good friendlies before the AC, but I think thatโ€™ll be unlikely

This tournament was proof that, unfortunately, we will get nowhere with a domestic coach. That we won was absolutely no feat, anything else would be disastrous. We would have won even without a coach on the bench considering the squad we have compared to our opponents. Despite this, the team showed absolutely no game plan and the whole game was built and based on our individual players. Having said that, I will always support the national team regardless of the coach but that is the reality that we have to accept to live with simply because a change of coach and that to a well-known foreign coach is not on the horizon.

Why not? SS could hire Sapinto and bring Lopez to Tehran, Sepahan Morais, Tractor Jemez, even TM has a respectable italian assistant.

I didnt watch the games this time, was way to bizzy. so cant comment on the gameplan.

But the camp in it self has to be good in some wayz for teambuilding/getting new staff to know the players and present and put new plays/tactics in place.. To play Japan level teams now would just be to early. thats next step. I would like a few more of these cups/year. Think this was great eaven if the level of opponents was a bit low. Perfect first camp, next time, invite atleast 1-2 semi strong teams aswell, so they can play us in the final.

Next camp (if there is one..) will be very interesting. Specially to se who is invited and so on. Maybe a few from u23?

Kanaani is good enough to start for team melli. Only issue with him is he's a hot head and an idiot... He could've gotten a red card with his high boot in the first ten minutes too...

That being said, even a lobotomized Kanaani is head and shoulders above Morteza PAG. PAG is so unbelievably washed up that it amazes me! He was beaten on every single occasion!

PAG should NEVER even be called up! Let alone be in the starting lineup...

Ghalenoi realized how bad Moghanlou was against Kenya and Russia and dropped him... Let's see if he realizes how bad PAG was and drops him too

Agreev, Pouraliganji is possibly the worst deterioration of an Iranian footballer I can think of

At one point he was our best defensive talent. Amazing seeing what happened to him

The only thing I don't understand is whose wife Zahedi has slept with. Even for that period he played between the lines, he offered something completely different. Why the hell is he still on the fringes

Lol you say we only have Azmoun and Taremi but at the same time youโ€™re saying Korea only have Son and Min Jae ๐Ÿ˜‚

I have been keeping an eye on Korea in their last 4 friendlies and theyโ€™re very overrated.

We should be able to finish them off in 90 minutes. That is if they even top their group. I foresee both Bahrain & Jordan to give them a hard time.

A narrow win against the Kenyan League and a tie against Russia doesn't convince me. We won today which is great for silverware but Uzbekistan was one post away from a very different story.

I am not an "I told you so" person. I am making an observation based on the level I see us playing in terms of sharpness and technicality. SK can tie El Salvador now but they bring their best when they play us always in tournament settings, where we usually are hit or miss. They didn't call up their best CB to this camp even. We are not going to beat South Korea with long diagonal balls. Our current trajectory is up for a QF exit at best. There are common sense choices to be made that are not being made.

                              1) Kanaani should not be invited. Hazbavi SHOULD have played this tournament.
                              2) Ghaedi + Hajsafi left side is the worst leftside combination I have ever seen in TM.
                              3) Centerback long balls diagonally with no rhyme or reason
                              4) Little ability to dictate tempo in the middle.

These are not the makings of an Asian champion side.
If diagonal long balls are the strategy, we are actually going to LOSE that battle vs Australia.
You are very biased my friend. On one hand you downplay TM performance against Russia, Kenya, Uzbekistan while at the same time brush off Koreas game against El Salvador like nothing. Who knows how much you would have cursed TM if we had tied El Salvador in Azadi lol.

Korea WC R16 qualification was a fluke and iโ€™m not at all surprised by their recent friendly results.

Letโ€™s not make Brazil out of them. We will beat them.

Obviously not with his players selection. Most of this forum knows better than him who isn't TM material
He will leave if we donโ€™t get the AC title. Until then he has my support.
