Kanani should be ashamed of himself acting like a raging bull. What savagery in a meaningless match. I don't want him anywhere near TM or Persepolis as a matter of fact. He should stay in Persian Gulf States leagues and end his career there…
Not happy with TM's performance in this tournament. Conceding 2 goals against 2 weak teams in only 2 dangerous attacks on our goal. I really hope GN will not stay as a coach for much longer.

GN selection was shit and almost cost us.
Ghayedi is useless. Truly. The guy offers zero off the ball. Notice how much more stable left side was with amiri. In possession he is not a team player and often does his own thing, which is trying to be cute with layee and stuff that only works 1/10 times on garbage defenders like those from our "league". He is a waste of space and rightfully pulled at half. To start him over amiri, ARJ, Torabi, Hosseinzadeh is a joke.
Mohebbi is better than ghayedi by virtue of off the ball work and general physicality, but he is not starter material either. He was clearly struggling to make any impact in second half yet somehow finished the game, even with all the available wide options we had to sub him. Not sure what he did to get so much time from GN...
While Saeid and Cheshmi weren't that bad, the concept of dual 6 in a game vs uzbekistan is flawed. These are the exact profile of games we need to work on 1 CDM and 2 flexible, technical CMs ahead of them (say likes of Ghoddos, Yasin or today Amiri, Hosseinzadeh). It made it impossible for us to keep hold of the ball for any meaningful period of time.
Ramin is past it. The guy has occasional good games in clutch moments bc he plays with serious gheyrat but honestly there is no aspect besides crossing (And even that is very begir nagir) that he is superior to moharrami. He nearly gave up a goal as well leaving his guy totally unmarked for the chance that hit the post...bizarre why he decided to leave his man there. Moha is a starter in dinamo with solid track record in CL this season, way more stable defensively and in tight spaces, and much younger. He should be the starter for us and given confidence.
Pouraliganji - just awful! HE was bad vs kyrgyz and was killing the team tonight...gets rolled like he is not even there, made hajsafi look worse than usual and confused the shit out of everybody around him. The guy should be nowhere near squad, let alone xi.
Kanani was actually saving us a few times but lost his head with red card. Still prefer him to washed PAG.
Azmoun and Taremi are the best players by some distance. Really impressed with sardar today, he scored another goal as well wrongly called for offsides that was a nice finish. Took the winner brilliantly. Taremi is hampered in my opinion when he has to do all of the creative work, great assist today but it would be better for him if we had some technical players to get him the ball in more dangerous zones.
Amiri is still an effective option, good half from him. Same with cheshmi although off the bench, not as starter.
Niazmand had a great match. He should now be candidate for the starting spot ahead of erratic beiro, again knocking out one of his own teammates on exit within a few mins...how many times with this guy?

Let's not forget the likes of Gholizadeh, Allahyar, Ghoddos were missing in attack so hopefully they will be present in Asian Cup.
Defense is definitely a worrisome especially with PAG.. Majid definitely needs to be the only safe starter... Whoever starts next to him is up for grabs..

The silver lining is us winning a single tournament. When was the last time we won the final of anything?
Yes, overall the opponents were weak, but there is always the psychological pressure of winning the final or knock out stage of something, which we historically struggle with.
Even in a “meaningless” tournament see how high emotions were? The red card wasn’t a surprise.
This can be valuable data for improving the team in the future (psychologically, tactically, player selection, etc.), but I’m not holding my breath.
