That and Azmoun or Taremi brilliance. Our defensive line is very suspect against a team that brings it to us instead of them just pinging the ball around a team of amateurs. The gap between the midfield(Ezatolahi is slow and our CBs don't react quickly) is very open and will be abused by any team that has any notion of tactics.

It's fine when team is in shell mode or playing Queiroz ball, but having a midfielder as slow and out of shape as Ezatollahi with defenders who aren't on the wavelength is a total recipe for disaster against disciplined attacks

Iran currently has no high standard defensive midfielders or even midfield engine type players

missed a wholesome international quality LWinger/LWB.... especially a LB ... imo that is our most consistently struggling position in TM since like forever .. or at least Minavand days ..!!?
weve had some decent talents in CM/CAM and DM position over the years .... and semi decent flow of quality (enough for asian levels @least) CBs over the years ... !!?
we struggled for a like a half a decade or so with solid Keeping options during early 2000s but by enlarge been doing pretty good on that position too for over a decade or more now..!

our biggest achilles heel over the past 4 decades or more been the often corrupted, unqualified and scandalous Federation...!
