From the low quality stream I saw he seems like his usual self like he was at Charleroi. He still the same player with pace and technique, and he got a yellow card after doing a tackle. It seems like instead of winger, the coach is playing him as false 9 though? And he's not physical type to play that role, so he didn't do much today and was subbed off at 74 minutes. Honestly for me he is proven to be a starter if he goes back to even his WC 22 level. Torabi on left side and in-form Gholi on right side all the passing triangles between them and Taremi/Azmoun.

I think they offered him good wages, plus he was comin off that injury from short stint in turkey so probably couldn’t get much better. Although he showed at his peak in Charleroi and with TM and WC that he can be a player for higher level environments.
