Now he scores two goals in the Russian league and suddenly a gush of positive commentary...how he is playing like Taremi and how the Russian league is so good for development and etc.

We are at once the most negative and over the top positive people!

That is not specifically 'Iranian' but a universal trait of humans: opportunism

It's funny how people compare him to Taremi because I feel like he's nothing like Taremi. They share almost no trait besides their origin and height. They play awful when next to each other, and id never play Mohebi and Taremi next to each other unless I wanna defend. Part of why he shined against Japan is because we used him next to Sardar

Physically there are similarities but they mainly end there. Taremi also really entered as a wide forward, inverted LW, similar to mohebbi. But taremis creativity and footballing IQ is world class, whereas mohebbi is very one dimensional and if afforded excessive freedom on the pitch often displays questionable decision making.

but I love when he plays with less touches. Again we saw that yesterday, one touch lay off and then one touch to settle and finish, before the one time finish for 2nd goal, which was another one of his out to in runs. Aerially he is super dominant, he wins long balls that I think actually very few LWs can consistently win while accurately directing towards a teammate, instantly getting his team, whether TM or Rostov 50meters up the pitch.

there is a player there and karpin is really working on him, credit where it’s due. Again for people questioning RPL if the coach/club combo is correct, even without UEFA competition it can save some of our talents from pure stagnation and regression in PGPL.

and just goes to show the effect playing young guys has on their confidence. Mohebbi was trusted by Gn, the only youngish player Gn gave trust to…he responded with Japan goal and great game and used that as a catapult for second half of the season.

if hosseinNejad was afforded a similar opportunity he could have made big move in the winter.

Mohebi has a goal and an assist as his team is up 3-0 at HT. As it stands, he is a better option upfront for us than Taremi.

He added another goal. 2G 1A in 60min of play.

stunning goal for his second of the night. BTW defender he just ruined (#3) Balbuena is Paraguay NT starter. the midfielder 93 he ruined subsequently is diego laxalt, formerly regular in serie A for may years.

But apparently some think russia move sucked for him lol.

assist was also excellent. Huge improvement in his decision making/weight of pass beginning to show now.

Maybe Ghaedi should join Russia too

WTF? Since when does he have a touch like that. Can he do that for TM too? 😂

One of our most improved players in recent years. A joy to watch really. Makes a difference moving from a relegation threatened team to an actual competitive side

If he continues to perform like this through the end of the season I wonder what opportunities might come up for him in the transfer market. Perhaps a move up to Zenit or ideally a better league in Europe

Clubs are still scouting RPL. Particularly Spanish and Italian.

Real sociedad found great success this season with zakharyan from the same dynamo that mohebbi just destroyed, hes already amassed over 1600 mins in all comps.

italian clubs especially are still getting RPL players. Sardar's great game vs Torino where he won PK was against Dynamo georgian CB saba sazonov who also moved there in the summer. Now lazio and bologna are trying to sign tiknizyan from lokomotiv. Sevilla are also reportedly after him.

And a whole host of teams are still after Eduard Spertsyan from the Krasnodar, including Feyenoord, PL teams, and top italian sides.

If Mohebbi keeps it up until the end of the season I can definitely see him getting at least some midtable italian teams interested. Might take another full year to properly tempt them into a move. His physicality, aerial prowess, and work rate will translate very well. Just needs to continue getting coached properly and working on his decision making. His finishing is really quite good already, with a lot of variety in his goals as well

Another example that Iranian players are “late bloomers” and often reach their prime betweeen 27-30, just like most footballers 20-30 years ago.
In modern days, players reach their prime earlier, because the game has gotten much mote athletic. But not in Iran. Athletics isnt important yet, maybe in 10-20 years

He’s improved & more importantly vastly speeded up his Decision making in the final 3rd of the pitch of late ..!
that’s been the key to his success..!
no more indecisiveness & gharekiing the ball too much ..!
that’s been the big difference to me
                            quick thinking & acting

My God those highlights are showing insane improvement. Tall, physical, fast, good touch, good in the air. He is shaping up in a bright star for Iran if this keeps up. Japan game, and this type of form continuing is an incredible sign
