I still don’t rate the guy but this move has been excellent for him. He’s gotten significantly better in a short period of time….maybe a few more seasons away from PGPL will do the trick….

Dara jan he's got potential for sure. His finishing and decision making pisses me off to a point where i'd still rather see basij boy, ARJ or Gholi play winger instead of him, but I think he's got the best raw talent out of those three. Maybe Gholi is the best technically and basij boy the most well rounded....

I agree with all of this - I always said he has the tools (tall, physical, somewhat fast) but my biggest complaint about him was always his IQ and lack of ability to take his man on 1v1 which we have seen a lot of from his first TM caps up until his most recent ones. He doesn’t have that technical skill that basij boy has…..basij boy is much, much better. A complete midfielder who is a must for me in the XI. I’d go so far as to say he (along with saman) are the keys to success bc Taremi and Azmoun cannot be fully unlocked without them.

He played a world class second half today! His best football half ever not only because of goal but he was all over! Did cover Milad few times, winning first balls, strong on ball, etc
This guy ability with ball and physicality is great, his main issue is decision making, hope this coming with time!

Exactly, ostad!

He has all the tools, just needs to improve his decision making. And that can come with time and experience (especially in Europe). He is strong, fast, good stamina, good in the air, etc.

Look at Taremi, he was a terrible decision maker a few years ago but now it's one of his strengths.

Nobody today talked about the goal he saved us from. It was either mid way through or towards the end of the first half that kubo took on Milad and one of our midfielders and got by them and played a ball to another Japanese forward and had that ball gotten through the Japanese forward would have had a clean look from the 6 yard box and buried it. Mohebi back tracked and blocked that pass. He had a massive impact on the game today by saving us from one and scoring one.

similarly to Mehdi he has a knack for positioning….makes great runs and gets rewarded as a result when he has gifted play makers like Sardar to work with. Good positioning must be a busheri genetic trait

knew he had it in him ... but still pleasantly surprised me today with his brilliant gut-busting display all game today, especially in 2nd half..!!
