lovely unveiling video. Great memories of azmoun and saeid scoring in CL back in the day. Pathetic how saeid developed from what we expected.

      Their new stadium is impressive.

great video! Much respect to them.

I love this clubā€¦only good memories with them. And yeah saeidā€™s decline and potential he never tapped is truly depressing. I remember after that goal he scored in the CL qualifier that he was for sure going to be a BL or Serie A fixed player in the coming years after.

What will the foreseeable future for the Russian league be? Is integration into UEFA never happening again or does anyone think it will slowly transition back in?

There's no incentive for UEFA to let them back in and face the headache of dealing with boycotts and protests. It's not like the European competitions have missed anything by not having Russian teams.

Russia will be let back in once the war is over ( so not in the next foreseeable future).

Would be interesting if Russia joined AFC, would be a very short-sighted look by their federation but the level of competition imo matches theirs. Plus, ya know, their country is like 50% of asian land mass.

their clubs are the ones really against it. Financially the European club competitions provide way more money.

Damn. Saeid looks a good 15-20 pounds lighter in this video.

UEFA will never accept them back, not even when the war ends - unless there is a "democratic" revolution/overhaul there and Putin is no longer in charge. They should have joined Asia.

They would have been guaranteed a World Cup spot.

Anyway, I actually like this move for Mohammed Mohebi.

And itā€™s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate peopleā€™s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

The Russian league starts next week. Hope MM has been training and is ready.

This kid is going nowhere at the speed of light. Giving up a great opportunity in Portugal to come back to Iran and miss out on WC and now Rostov, in a league under sanction in a country at war!

What was wrong with developing in Portugal? He was really hyped up by the Portuguese press when the transfer occurred...if he doesn't have the talent then that's that...if he does have the talent, then it takes hard work and patience, not jumping between clubs and leagues every 1-2 years. Was he taking advice from Saeed?

Scored against the likes of Benfica too. Bad career decisions but RPL is much stronger than PGPL. So decent move.

It's tough but at the end of the day, Santa Clara relegated. Had they stayed up i'm sure theres a possibility he would've been given a bigger role on that team. He had a solid first year with Santa Clara too but I believe he was injured a bit as well and his decision to come back to Esteghlal was a bit questionable.

Regardless, his move to Rostov FC is not as bad as we think... Rostov are a talented team and the Russian league even without European competition is still on par with leagues like Belgium and Turkey. He will play for a good coach under a solid Rostov squad.
