As Sardar has said in previous interviews, I will wait to hear it from him. He has a contract with good pay and the coach seems to like him so I doubt that he will agree to less pay.

So in essence making Mehdi a cheap to retain for full terms of contract & highly valuable performer knowing he’d have to give his best in order to attract a lucrative next transfer & taking incentive outa of agreeing to a possible sale by taking a portion of the sale price away from them ..!
that’s what you’d call being naive/lacking business shrewdly ..!
on the other hand Sardar being godfathered by the scandalously shrewd Berdieve has made mad stash for himself & papa birdie with every loan or transfer in Russia & beyond so far ..!
Mehdi now needs to learn a thing or two from him & his reps, don’t get duped into a foolish contract extension, go out do your best in final season & in six month start negotiations on a fatA$$ signing bonus m, plus an attractive paycheck with another EU team & force Porto’s hand into offloading him early for measly few millions in winter .. knowing he is a goner in summer …! Sorta Doing em dirty … like Sardar did to Zenit ..!
In other words, if he stays in Porto this year, he's going to Saudi the year after. The poor guy is making pennies on the dime for the past few years in Portugal and he will soon have to make a decision about whether he continues to chase his dream of playing for a top flight team or to secure his finances once and for all.

But at the same time, he just has not seemed settled in @ Bayer since shortly after joining .. either because of injuries or mostly due to his own lack of interest & commitment to his profession…(or some drama brewing in the background between him & club players or mgmt ..!?) it just seems as he’s been pretty eager to part ways with the club..! He was almost offloaded last winter & been similarly eager to even escape to fking Turkey (by licking the ass of their top clubs in media blatantly) just to get away from ze Germanz..!
all these apathetic antics off course hasn’t gone unnoticed by his employers …! The club hasn’t made any secret of their desire to shipping him off (be it for profit) & I remember last season Bayer’s social media made a snarly post about his low production @ the club vs all the hype surrounding his initial capture..!
so in essence what I’m saying is that I think he wants outa there bad enough to agree to a Bit lower salary especially if it’s to a club like AC which by all means is considered an upgrade over the rich but seemingly eternally underachieving loser club as Leverkusen ..!Last edited by BacheLot; 08-19-2023, 12:39 PM.

if keeps up a good scoring form, (especially in UCL) I’m fairly certain as a free agent next summer he could garner a hefty $igning bonus & probably a more lucrative pay package too than he was being offered this summer from his most interested suitors..!?
regardless of his sorta old age, he has relatively very low mileage on his body & proven to be a beastly fit & consistently very Durable performer ..!
He was discovered very late & only been playing professionally for some 8 years or less ..!? & been Impactful & Successful at every stage of his career so far …!Last edited by BacheLot; 08-19-2023, 10:39 AM.

I love them both though! Haha
