I have a very good feeling about this season for him. Like others said, we know what he needs to do and I'm sure he knows. Lose the belly and physically get in shape and he'll be a starter a could score 15 goals this season. It's clear Xabi likes him a lot and wants to give him opportunities as much as possible

And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

Boniface can also play off the left, according to some Union fans he is better there. His goal vs leverkusen came from that type of position (cutting in on his right).
Would make sense numbers wise for leverkusen. In absence of schick him and Sardar battle it out for 9 position.
When schick returns they are essentially left with 6 players for 3 positions:
Rw/LW: Hoffman, adli, boniface, hlozek
CF: Sardar, Schick
Priority for them after signing boniface is getting a new Gk. If they can get a real upgrade on hradecky I think they will have covered all their bases and will be in a good position for a strong season. Addition of xhaka allows them to switch to back 4 like today, he and palacios make a great pair at base of midfield and allow wirtz to play his best position at #10.
4231 is a much more balanced approach and probably what xabi wanted to implement from the start but lacked the personnel for it.
They looked so confused with 343 last season at times, no ideas through the middle and turned to Diaby/Frimpong isolations and 1v1s for everything on offensive end.

in my view a Fit Sardar still remain their Best Overall healthy 9 Target striker, until Patrick gets fully fit..!!
imo, Sardar's combination game with attacking partners, his cleverly quick transition game into offense is his most special, truly world class skill.... that is why in prior stints he has Thrived best and scored most goals when partnered with a more high workrate, unselfish attacking partner (such as Mehdi, Polos, Dzuba).. !
b4 his move to Bayer we were most hopeful of Patrick/Writz/Diaby be that unselfish attacking partner to sardar but Diaby was the khoreh ball-hog sag-do with limited wit and vision, Patrick way too similar traits to Sardar too koongoshad to press but ruthless finisher and target 9, and Writz ham simply hasnt meshed well with sardar ( probably ham akhlaghy ham footballi) and i've noticed him on numerous occasions reluctant to hit an open sardar with a good throughball/pass while going outa his way to instead provide service for other attackers in worse position to do any offensive damage...!! even in the last friendly i noticed an occasion or 2 where he similarly forced a ball into Adli and ? instead of laying it off to sardar .... the opposite has been true with sardar providing him many times with good service in attacking transition but the cunt little german seems reluctant to return the favor ..!! i might be reading too much into this .... but when it comes to such observations im hardly ever proven wrong..!! maybe this season will be different between them...? but im certainly more hopeful that Boniface would become that ideal attacking partner than this overrated joojeh Writz..!!:/
ps
i go back to what ive been saying many times prior, Sardar still needs to up his fitness and stamina/work-rate and more importantly his Footballing Ambition , then everything else will surely fall into place for him and he will have a great season ahead of him..!

Just saw how fans and also clubs reacted to Taremi rumors vs This ugly hojlung, ramos etc..
With our league refusing to give chances to youngs and young players waiting so many valuable years to leave for Europe (Taremi cough cough..), we are double fked

The way the Moroccans played as a unit and were motivated individually was exceptional.

Morocco's players were very well drilled even when we played them. We just happened to play a negating game plan against a team of European academy players who were trained to not play that way. They definitely take NT more serious than club play.
It is not unheard of, now the culture of footballers being "ballers and celebrities" has taken over but 20+ years ago, our players like Ali Daei and Karim Bagheri would move land and sea to play for TM.
