He (and most of Feyenoord's attack) was pretty invisible most of the 2nd half.
Near the end of the match he had a few difficult chances, all of which were blocked.
Did Solid defensively.
Overall he leaves more to be desired. Can't blame Feyenoord if they sign a better winger as a starter. Especially going into the CL.
Good news is that Dilruson was pretty bad , and Walemark isn't healthy yet.
50/50 Chance he starts next week.Last edited by The; 08-04-2023, 04:18 PM.

My takes from the game:
I think he was much better in the first half. In the second half, he had 2 good chances.
The whole team was really bad, especially in the offence. They had no game plan at all. I dont understand the coach and his subs. It was a big mistake to sub out Gimenes, Piaxao and Hartman.
The good news is that in the last two games vs good opponents (Benfica and PSV), despite several subs, he decided to keep Alireza on the pitch. This could be a good sign that he has faith on him.
Another good news is that the new signings(those who were subbed in) like nr 8, nr 19 really sucked big time, both in the both games against Benfica and PSV.
Mats Wieffer who was one of their best player last season is really out of shape and far from his potential.
Calving Stengs seems to be good but little bit to selfish.
Ramiz Zerrouki did impress occasionally.
Kokcu is missed

Apparently, Feyenoord is close to signing left winger Luka Ivanusec from Dinamo Zagreb.
If they do sign him, their attacking midfield starting 3 will likely be Ivanusec, Stengs and Paixao. Although, on paper, Stengs doesn't look impressive. 1 goal in 25 appearances for Antwerp. 1 goal in 28 appearances for Nice. So I hope he can get displaced and open up a spot for JB.

I noticed no other attacker who were clearly superior to Ali & capable of displacing him in the front 3 of Fey, especially doing so for extended periods of time ..!?
& I noticed paxio doing too much of showing off & khodraviez down left wing that’s bound to piss off opponents & it’ll be one of these days soon that one will light his asss up with a crunching tackle & send him to the injury reserves for rest of the season ..!? -

The rest are border line IPL/ 2nd, 3rd rated european leagues
