Azmoun praised his compatriot and emphasized his friendship with the FC Porto striker, after rumors that their backs were turned

Sardar Azmoun and Mehdi Taremi have long shared the Iran national team's attacking front, in addition to a friendship relationship.

A few months ago, there were rumors that the two were back to back and at opposite points in a supposed division in the national team, but the Bayer Leverkusen striker, in an interview with the Iranian Press, not only emphasized his friendship with the Porto striker, but also praised him.

"Mehdi is, without a doubt, a talented player who has shone a lot at FC Porto, a goal-man. He has evolved so much and I wish he had arrived in Europe sooner", stressed Azmoun, who revealed some old conversations with Taremi.

"When he was at Persepolis, I insisted that he go to Europe, he deserved it and he had talent. I saw how he helped his colleagues with the passes", added Azmoun, who sees Taremi with the capacity to compete in other leagues:

"Without a doubt he can play in teams like Milan and Inter. He has been working hard and playing great games for FC Porto."

Galeno was very poor. Played some shocking balls over the top to no one.

Also it was being played in very hot conditions, Twitter fans say things for the likes. No sense and they are sheep. Last game they were loving him.

I actually think Mehdi made the right decision. The defender never committed to Mehdi. And Toni was somewhat marked (I don't think he was wide open).

Tmart was open for a pass early on ... once Mehdi took that extra step towards the goal ... the passing lane got closed fast... so his only option then was to try to beat the keeper from narrow/closed angle..!
that is the sorta would be quick, clever passes that Sardar is exceptional at making... he sees the open man and the next second he hits them with often with a well-weighted accurate pass right into their running lane.... not many footballers can see that opening and hit that quick pass.... especially not many iranian ones who are accustomed to taking extra touches and khodravi kardan ..!!

shame, he didnt have an impactful game.... that is the sorta game vs EPL opponent that coulda paved the way better for a late transfer to hopefully at decent EPL team..!! as of now his best chance landing destination looks to be Spurs post HairyK.....!! no european football is a major down point of such a move... off course... but their new coach's system of attacking and high pressing game could well be an excellent fit for him after similarly playing and thriving for Porto ..!
