"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

I don't understand, Porto has been selling players ( Diaz, Viera ,etc...) with no issues.

Why would this suddenly be an issue with Mehdi?

The more I think about it the more it make sense to me someone from Mehdi's side made things more complex than they need to be.

For Porto, with their crucial Champions League and league situation, Mehdi is just too valuable and indispensable for their plans. It seems likely they could generate €15M+ (the transfer fee they would have recieved) by progressing to the next round of UCL (around €3M Euros per victory and €9.6M Euros for reaching the round of 16). Their Champions League group is the easiest, so they can make up the economics in just one short period.

Okay, then why even accept the offer to begin with? (Keep in mind the deal fell through before the draw)

Something isn't adding up.

But why did they let all these intermediaries get involved? They are all linked to Porto. They got a "deal done" but complicated it and kept moving the goal post.

Sounds like typical sabotage to me.

Either way, hopefully Mehdi is rid of these people once he's a free agent this summer.

At least the AC Milan fandom know who is at fault. They really wanted Mehdi Taremi. Compare this to the ignorant Tottenham fans (ironic they are the far lesser teams in current ability and history too!)

The curious case of mehdi. There is always something that holds him back. Not sure if its his luck, himself or his agents. from the deal in turkey to this deal. He needs to erase this episode from his mind and have a breakout season even better than last year! So he can set himself up for a free transfer to a top team. He has started the season very slow but needs to go into savage mode.

Best milan can do is loan rafa mir from sevilla with buy option. Yaroo mali nist anyways.

Best inter could do was arnautovic and alexis sanchez both aged 34.

I would not be at all surprised if both go back in for him in january or on a free in the summer (and get the agreement in january). Taremi waits a few months but eliminating porto middlemen gives him better signing bonus and eliminates a lot of hassle and additional cost for these traditionally penny pinching italian sides.

Not sure why the Saudi option gets so much traction here. If he was interested in that he would have taken it, basically the best saudi club made him their Home CF target. The way he rejected it was so steadfast it was clearly never an option for him!

Milan got Jovic on free loan until June. They will be needing a striker again next summer and Mehdi will be on the market for free

This story gets stranger by the minute, not that I would trust what Pedro says.

you'd think/hope..!! he would be an ideal much needed late addition to Manure..!! and 15-20mil to Porto is chop change for them.. plus they can offer mehdi respectable wages more than double that of Milan offering..!
but it's clear Porto front office are dead set on derailing any move for his exit this summer ... and after the recent shittshow with Milan not so sure there any respectable clubs left who'd wanna be dealing with these mofos ... especially late on when clearity on the deal and swift decision making is needed and not negotiation gamesmanships..!!

it's now becoming clear that the insertion of this POS puto "Pedro Pinho" as a supposed intermediary, was the main stumbling block and ultimate Killer of this drawn out transfer sage..!!
What i really wanna know is Who dafauq was responsible for hiring of this bastards and getting him involved in this transfer?
???
my suspicion is that his insertion to sabotage Mehdi's transfer outa the club was ultimately orchestrated by that scandalous old cunt president of the club, pinto da costa on behalf SC ..!!?
off course they had to get the Ok from Mehdi for his insertion into the negotiating crew somewhere along the way ... but i suppose that wasnt such a difficult task to fool him and his immediate agent into this ..!

Forget about the transfer
It is over!

Pedro Pinho reacts to the controversy surrounding Taremi: "Recourse to lying"

Businessman pointed out by the Italian press as the main responsible for the cessation of negotiations defends himself,

Pedro Pinho, the businessman who was pointed out by the Italian press as responsible for the negotiations between Mehdi Taremi and AC Milan falling apart , took a stand this Friday, ensuring that he was never contacted by the Italian club. Speaking to the newspaper Record, Pedro Pinho challenges AC Milan to show "some proof that any commissions were requested".

"AC Milan never had any direct contact with me. The player warned them that they were talking to the wrong agents and they continued to do so for two months. The salary that was proposed to Taremi, around 1.5 million, in our opinion it is very far from what is practiced at Milan and it was not in line with the player's expectations", began by saying Pedro Pinho, continuing.
"That's why it never even got to the point of talking about commissions and, given that the subject has been so talked about in Italy using lies, AC Milan must show some proof that any commissions were requested", stressed the Portuguese businessman. , who also left a message.
"They may be looking for a scapegoat to justify not hiring the player", concluded Pedro Pinho.
It should be remembered that FC Porto and AC Milan had already agreed on the transfer of Mehdi Taremi for a fixed 15 million euros, plus three per goal. However, the Italian club failed to convince the Iranian striker to sign a contract.
