Taremi is by far the most accomplished Iranian player ever
Ali Karimi in his prime was the best
    Mahdavidkia the most professional

And these are the only 3 worth mentioning, I am sure there is a justification for Ali Daei, but he doesnt top these 3

Don't forget Javad Nekounam - 8 years in the arguably world's best league at the time, always starting it seemed and scored a lot too for a DM (I think one year he spent in Segunda though)
"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

Javaad was an absolute beast b4 his nasty knee injury that sidelined him for over a year.... after that he was just an above avg. regular starter DM in a tokhmy La Liga, bottom dwelling club just striving for relegation survival ..!!

imo, MT9 has already eclipsed all other iranian legionnaires careers ....even the legend eyebrows Mkia..!!

he has literally been the superstar of a very respectable european league for over 3 years now ... 90+ min starter game in game out, hardly ever injured or missing from action, won golden boot twice , been the essential catalyst in winning impressive number of trophies in his short spell at Porto, amassed probably more UCL features and goals than any other iranian ?
and yet has an immense Realistic potential to yet still land in a Super Club next when he is already nearing 31-32yo..!

most other iranians couldnt barely perform in a tokhmy ayrab etc. team past their 30s much less be on radar of clubs such as Real Madrid, Inter, Milan, ManU..!!

weve certainly had many more promising and overall talented footballers but few if any who could last in europe long enough to live up to their potential ..! they'd start 1-2 games and then go injured or MIA for months after... score a goal once in a month or so and then get injured or what not.... etc..

        al hasbi..... 😒
sheeeeeeeeittt .... .. dude was just a fkn GK........ i dont even consider GKeepers real Footballers.... .!
like Baseballers/cricketers/pro-golfers ...they may be exceptionally skilled sportsmen but i'd hardly consider them much of an ATHLETE per say...!!

He is only Iranian to not be injury prone. The rest have either small injuries every 2 months or big ones. We have a really big problem with that : Azmoun, JB, Allahyar, AK, Hosseini, Gholizadeh, Beiro, Ezza, Alipour, Moharami, even Salmani.

We can hope big things both at NT and legionnaires level if we don't fix that

Yes, my grandmother is from Golpayegan. Think my grandfather met my grandmother when she came to work in Mahallat.

Big match tomorrow at Sporting. Winner takes the number 1 spot in the table before the winter break.

Good draw for Arsenal. Not so good for Porto.

Probably the most attractive of this round of games.

Back in the day, Porto was exactly the kind of team that would hurt Arsenal.
