I don't love the fact that all of this is supposedly happening in the midst of our AC campaign. It can surely serve as a distraction to not only Mehdi, but the entire team (since he is an unquestioned leader).

Hope i am wrong and i will be mote than happy because at the end if he shines he give more credibility to our football BUT, first, i don't see him play any impact role with Inter, second as i said i i believe age will be a factor imo!
Again, hope i am wrong!

he gave his agent a mandate and he is taking care of it.
And the one time he was directly asked about it he said he wouldn’t comment out of respect to the national team and said that’s all he is focused on

And of course that's how he'll answer the media's question, it's the politically correct answer.

Inter are obviously pretty interested and eager to get the deal over the line ASAP and pushing that agenda in order to avoid other suitors start their work on addressing their attacking needs possibly hijacking Mehdi during winter transfer window .... and by enlarge so far Inter seems to be the most ideal big club destination for him too ?
he just has to keep his focus on the tourney and at a very least dont let it affect TM teammates which he's done as well as he could so far i guess..!!
Also needs to still up his Finishing game... he likely wont be getting scoring chances handed to him on the platter like Sardar has done for him so far... in club or country.... Needs to become better at finishing from scrappy and self created chances too..!!
ps
i fear if this Inter transfer fall through ...he'll end up in SA or likely a more tokhmy EU club of lesser obohat for sure..?

We used to have disruptive agents like Reza Fazeli hanging around Branko's 2006 squad, with free rein in the training camps themselves, to engineer moves during the world cup between games
Taremi's agents negotiating for him in the Asian cup to get him away from namaknashnassville.. I'd be disappointed if they didn't

For him to tell his agents to not even negotiate while he's at Asian cup, risking the chance of signing with Inter?
The opportunity to negotiate and make his biggest career move opened and you can't just wait on these things... You need to jump on them.
Like others said, it's just the reality of the timing of transfer window and Asian cup.
