looks like they are getting raped... one way traffic on st. truiden ... then he got subbed off a couple min later.. which isnt particularly a good sign to sub off your striker down 1-4

So anybody who watched this instead of sardar can give us a summary of how he was vs some ok opposition?

From bits I have seen he is still very raw, comparing him to sardar and mehdi is ridiculous (Which even he admitted to himself in the interview lol) but he has good ingredients.

Remember we had kaveh rezaei who was top scorer in belgium and still barely got a sniff in TM. We had ali alipour and Mehrdad Mo go through excellent spells in portugal and barely get called up.

Level of Sardar and Mehdi is very high with many seasons of evidence to back them up, many CL campaigns and most experience at highest level of EU football in our program (and still as we saw with weak showing of mehdi in AC it is no guarantee to prevent fluctuations/mental breakdowns). Were not throwing them out any time soon and rightfully so. but yes, we need to be on the look out for new backups. Karim, Reza Asadi, Moghanlou are not the answers!

For Kahveh to truly be considered lets look at some of the guys we have taken from abroad.

Dejagah - germany u21 starter, league champ with wolfsburg, got fairly high profile move to fulham. Guaranteed massive upgrade to our xi and a star for TM.

Ghoddos - getting regular call ups to swedish NT. Widely recognized as the best player in the league and starring in Europa League for ostersunds. Big interest from abroad at this time as well (leverkusen, west ham, among others).

Reza Gucci - Dutch youth international, yes also coming off belgian league success with this same st truiden but also at a time where we had literally nothing up front. His form there was hugely impressive, 17 goals in 32 matches.

Fereydoon Zandi - German u21 international. One of the best players in 2nd division before becoming a regular for Kaiserslauten in BuLi at time of call up.

I put kahveh currently in similar bracket to saharkhizan, azadi who are some of the best CF talents in PGPL. They need a greater sample size to prove they are not just a flash in the pan, as we see with many CFs that shine for a bit then fully fall off, much higher profile examples of this as well. People were even calling for a guy like Allahyar to replace sardar a few years ago bc he scored some goals in ukraine and then got a move to hull. We all saw how that ended up.

I think if Kahveh could extend this form for a few more months then definitely make a move for him. It is impressive/curious that his game has translated so well so far bc Yale is not really known for their football program and before that as far as i know he was not in us soccer youth matrix either. Not to take anything away from his achievements by the way.

              Pretty much this
He need to put up at least 10 goals to be considered!
Main tempting thing for him is his age, his size! Mainly the age
But he is no where near big 2!
Again, as you see he gets starts and play 90 min
Because for n ieme time for some people, coaches always always have soft spot for players with such profile!
Thats why such as Moghanlou will always get their chances ..

I think the main excitement comes from his age (he's only 21) and the fact that he regularly starts in the Belgian league...

I mean, one of his team mates is the starting GK for Japan's national team, Suzuki!

Yes, he is still raw but he definitely deserves to have an eye kept out for him and called up assuming he hits somewhere between 8-10 goals this season and garners interest by a top 5 league.

What the hell is this league? Fans set the outfield on fire and they had to pause the match to stop it

Kaveh looking sharp, I have no doubt he will get to 10 goals this season if he keeps playing with his intensity. Allahyar is looking pretty out of it, but most of is his teams fault as they won't pass it to him and keep Haj Safi NASA sending the ball to the sky
