Group of 12 teams for west zone, 8 qualify for the next round. Don't know if all the teams play the 11 others or not.

There is ACL2 too, with one team from Iran ( the 3rd of IPL)

Beiranvand really saved Persepolis today. This team lacks a bite and to me not expected to go far in this tournament. But I hope I am wrong.

None of our teams are really at a level to go far in ACL. The bar has been raised and Ihe ranian teams are way behind the leading pack.

I think the mistake is to have high expectations for iranian football as a whole. Until last summer and the Taremi's non transfer fiasco, I was like that too. Today, I have much lower expectations and it is just better.
Just watch it as a film or tv program, you can have good, average, crap film. But no need to kill yourself after it or because of the dramas. I watch IPL like I would watch iranian movies/series now.

As the state of the country, we don't have the ability to change things for our football. It's a waste of time/energy to bother on things we don't have control on
