Has Esteghlal paid all of its debts and dealt with all of its issues? A team like Nassaji who is battling relegation should be nowhere near ACL

Perspolise played a typical Iranian dumb game of football, period!

When do our coaches learn that Hurrah hurrah hurrah is not a tactic!

It happens, it's football. Imagine Ghana fans after Asamoah Gyan missed that penalty to send them to the SEMI FINALS, and then went on to lose in penalties. Worse situations have happened. All we can do is learn from it, and as an Iranian I will always support Iranian club success in Asia, especially a strong team like PP. We need the best representatives for our football on a global level.

The Ghana situation was much worse but at least from what I remember, Gyan tried to boot it in the back of the net. What makes this situation so bad is that STUPID stutter step. Just kick the damn ball!

Similar to you, I also support all Iranian teams in Asia and support them equally. I’m not a PP fan or SS fan or sepahan fan, I’m simply and Iranian fan. Love all teams the same and root for each of them in every competition and will continue to do so forever. anyways, HE SHOULD HAVE SCORED THAT!!!!!

Can someone explain why PP is out if they are 2nd in the group?

AFC only qualify the 3 best runner up out of 5. PP is the 5th runner up

"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

Hence why I think against "good" teams like Japan, Korea, Saudi, Australia we should line up with something like this:

                      Beiro

                      Moharrami Kanaani/Hazbavi Majid Hajsafi

                      Ezatolahi Ghoddos

                      Ramin Taremi Azmoun Torabi/Gholi

Oooooo sorry but that lineup is too good and logical to be played in reality

Fully agreed, Moharrami vs Speedy Asian teams and Ramin vs Saudi and Australia is a no brainer.

Both have their strengths. Against SK and Japan we have to use physicality and creativity with solid defense. Though all in all Ramin is decent on defense, he just needs to ne coached better and told to keep back

The way Ghoddos pocketed Mitoma today maybe he should get the nod at right back instead of both Ramin and Moharrami 🤣

if you watch last Asian Cup semi vs Japan they exposed Ramin's lack of speed and getting back on D. They had analyzed and ID that as a weakness and capitalized. Ramin was getting beat like a drum all game. All three of Japans goal came from his side. I watched a program with Alireza Faghani The referee and he spoke about that at length after our exist from Asian Cup. BTW Ramin since has improved on other aspect of his game mainly his services and free kicks.

Sadly TM has no one capable on the staff otherwise it's kinda obvious that counter attacks from the wings is our biggest defensive issue since 2019.

Wingers get caught up high -> Ezatolahi who runs slow and has to cover for them -> cross to the middle -> we get scored on.

It's actually why Ali Karimi and Eza combo vs Uzbekistan failed so hard, now we had 2 slow midfielders covering for Milad and Ramin who were always too high up.

This TM would thrive if it relied more on defensive structure instead of trying to score as many goals as possible. I think this is where Ghoddos is key for us, letting us work through the middle but Im not sure if GN or Manicone even recognizes this problem
