I think we read too much on these red cards. Of course we have a huge problem of akhlagh in our country and among our players but the recent red cards aren't linked to that.

• Red card against Qatar : it was either that or Afif on a 1 vs 1 with Beiro. The turnever leading to that and GN subbing out our RB was responsible
• Red card against Al Hilal 1st leg : A dumb tackle from a mediocre player. I already said these mediocre player are the cancer of our football
• Red card against Al Hilal 2st leg : a dangerous turnover from Yousefi. The mediocre Yazdani was either red carder or Mitrovic on 1 vs 1 with Niazmand.

Something weird is going on for sure. I don't know if it's an overt command to be biased, but these refs certainly tilt one way because they know where the power in AFC lies. You make your bosses happy and who controls them (wealthy Arab countries) and they give you more favors

Bro, I respect your opinion but I truly believe Beiro is not even the 5th best goalkeeper in Iran currently.

Guys like Ahmad Gohari, Payam Parsa, Pourhamidi, Jafarpour, and Niazmand are all currently having better seasons than Beiro.

He has a really nice story of breaking through poverty and making it big, but with all due respect, his prime is finished. He was good from 2016-2020 and has been very subpar to average since.

And to be honest, I'm not even a huge Niazmand fan either... I really like Payam Parsa and Ahmad Gohari (who share both my families last names btw so i'm not biased whatsover )

Contrary to what people here think, Beirvanvand is probably the only goalie in Iran who has some experience at a decent level playing with the ball at his feet. He's not great at it, but he's really improved.
His weakness is he is a heavy confidence player. If he's distracted off the field, or getting heavy criticism, he makes mistakes.

Even at his weakest though, he is still easily in the top 2 of Iranian goalies. At his peak, he is the best Iranian goalie by miles.

I just don't think Beiro is as good as his peak, which was from 2016-2020

It's now 2024 and Beiro has only gotten worse... I agree that some of those players are more inexperienced than Beiro but thats the beauty of playing them, giving them experience and seeing what they have. When was the last time Beiro had a good game for Persepolis or Team Melli? I honestly don't even remember

Nassaji did as well as expected but they were never going to go further than they did.

It will take 5 years to nullify the poor results this year.

It's uae that got above us not qatar. Al ain had a mickey mouse group and an easy R16, while our club got all the KSA one + the best one in R16.
That best 2nd also fk us big too.
