Alex Samizadeh had huge potential. Rumblings that he was even going to be called up by Bolton's main team at a very young age.
Another Iranian who's off-the-field/non-footballing activities ruined his career? Not surprised.
Good luck to him. He's still young, hopefully he can make it."This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh

He talks about his failure at Bolton in the first episode, it’s an interesting watch.

Sharu Naraji, 27, from Bolton, is suing an American sports injury specialist for at least £10m, claiming negligent surgery prevented him playing for a team in England’s top-flight. Mr Naraji, of Winslow Road, brought his case before London’s High Court, and listened as his lawyer described his vain attempts to return to his former best after the operation in November 2006.
