Ironic how what his physique has become, no words to explain, he is skinny fat
funny how it all turned out at the end at wc..!
Ramin once again had himself a brilliant tournament overall capped off by a beautiful goal.... something our supposed star striker again failed to manage ,,!!

looking at that pic, frankly that is an embarrassing fitness/shape for a professional footballer to be .... !!
he is lucky to be on a Taller Narekharish frame and figure .... so the excess weight isnt so evident under the uniform and kinda/sorta actually could well help him deal a bit better with the intense physicality of the SerieA action... so to speak better able to throw his Weight around in the opponents box and harder to be pushed off the ball? ... but if forced to run around hard for any significant time ... that's when those excess weight really come to bit and he'd be in no time breathin outa his azz..!!

Roma in desperate enough of need for a skilled 9, that may well rush him into action a lot sooner than one look at that pic would suggest..!!?

Despite being older, Rezaeian's fitness is very good. Sardar has really lost his shape over the last few seasons, and I know injuries are somewhat to blame but Rezaeian has also had injuries. Discipline is important. Sardar is very talented

It only takes a couple months.
Wasn't what we said about Leverkusen, a german top club who would get Azmoun fit, less fat and healthy?

About Azmoun last injury, people were saying it was heeling faster and he was near a return. What happened now people say he will not before 1 month?

Yeah not a good look but he has been unable to train for a month. Rolfes mentioned he returned in good shape to start pre season. In the next month being cleared for running and full training that should correct.

But frankly in same season he killed chelsea, scored against juventus, and generally was at the top of his game right before leverkusen move in january he had gained some extra weight. He was never the ripped/gymrat muscular type, as berdyev commented before. Naturally he is a strong guy, I found that when he was at his most slim in first full zenit season he was easier for the top cbs in europe to manhandle (see game vs leipzig and upamecano).

for reference when this pic was taken higuain was coming off his golden boot season for napoli and got EU 90 mil transfer to juve, where he went on to score 24 goals in his first season. Many other examples as well, including his soon to be teammate lukaku...contrary to popular belief not all footballers have ronaldo, taremi, lewandowski type physique.

My main concern is that the extra weight while improving his hold up play and general box presence is becoming an added injury concern. He is at his best a highly explosive player with an impressive top speed. He still has that top speed, but reaching it is putting more strain on his muscles than before, hence these 2 calf tears in space of a year.

When a player is in such a pathetic physical shape, a lot a clubs exaggerate a small knock as an injury requiring some time to heal ..! & if the player struggles for a long time to get in proper playing shape as was the case with Sardar, then they actively look to offload him for a minimal loss or as much profit as possible..!
this way little questions raised from eager media when they don’t make the game squads nor get much action from the bench ..!
afterall players are their assets & they don’t want negative news devalue them in the market ..!

Guys, I know this will blow your minds, but six pack abs does not always equal optimal body for football.

Football players of various body types can be successful.

                    It's not a bodybuilding competition.

if you watched MMA you'd know that people with the most muscle mass gas out faster than people with a little bit of fat on them.

We are not talking bodybuilding here. We are talking fitness for ideal 90 minute performance.

There is no doubt Sardar is out of shape.

Never forget that guy who played for Sweden in 94, and the original Ronaldo. Both always looked out of shape but performance said otherwise.

Oh yea... I forgot about Ronaldo. His best years in RM running around like he had just had 4 bowls of addas polo.
