If Azmoun decides not to play, it's because he wants to earn more playing time at Roma so he can improve and do his best for Team Melli at the next world cup OR it was a condition that could have stopped his move to Roma, effectively halting his progress as a player, which is important for Team Melli. ... It'll be His last chance at the world cup as well.... MUCH more important overall than Asian cup.

That's exactly why it's good that he joined Roma instead of staying at Leverkusen. Mou has said several times including a few days ago that Azmoun is too unfit to be played. They will fix him.
Also do you guys spend all your time here hating on this poor man ? Baba his transfer was literally only 4 weeks ago, let the man be there at least 2-3 months before calling him a failure. He's on a fitness program by Mou, it takes time to gain trust and get integrated. As much as we love him he is no Lukaku.

Unfortunately Iranian fans tend to develop cult following around some players and don’t think big picture and whats best for TM as a whole. If a player isn’t good enough to play for his club because he’s out of shape or form, he doesn’t belong in the national team. Its a very simple concept that is accepted by most fans/coaches/players. Only Iranians view TM camp as a mehmuni… eyy vayyyyyy Sardar BAYAD davat beshe.

Right now we are 5th best in Asia. With our current coach, the Asian Cup success is looking less and less likely. And the last tournament was a disaster in every which way for the players...being threatened by IR and being belittled by the fans And their own community (like Yahya, AK8 etc). Not to mention injuries.
I would not feel hate for anyone who decides to skip TM/Asian Cup. One could bet that GN will be changed to a foreign coach after AC and then there might be a chance to be reinvited.

Iran/Australia/SA/SK are all on the same level. Each is competitive on a good day.
Japan is the beast that is 3 levels above everyone else in Asia

although not fully ripped fit and not a 90min starter yet... Sardar was/is plenty fit for a 20-30 impact sub feature..!!
i fully expected him to be brought on late on last match when Roma were up 1-0 still and Torino were throwing every attacker they had on bench in trying to go for equalizer....!
a less chickenshit defensive coach surely woulda brought on some counter attacking fresh legs of the bench like Sardar, due to his brilliance in quick transition play and killer instinct .... but he decided instead to play not to lose and rightfully punished for his ultra conservative decision making pissing away 2 valuable points and falling further down the domestic table..!!
then trying cover for his own fk up with claims that Sardar was not fit enough to even feature off the bench ..!!
i think if he doesnt provide some meaningful game minutes to sardar again, in the heavy fixture scheduling coming up shortly, a good chance that sardar will get rightfully frustrated and back into his old Bayer/Not giving a fk mode ..!?

4 wives and ten kids..... ARE YOU SERIOUS? lolll way to be extreme and make random predictions / assumptions.
"If he rejects team melli he won't be invited again"<<< another extreme assumption.... He even quit team melli after world cup and was still invited again. .... Let's not get carried away.
We'll see what happens with your wild predictions 😂

Even at this stage of fitness, he's far better than anyone besides Taremi. He can definitely improve his overall fitness under Mourinho at Roma and still be fit enough for Team Melli in 2026.
