i guess it's a good think that Sardar is well and truly now the first striker substitute for these important league matches rather than Bellotti
If it wasn't for that unexpected Lukaku signing he could have got a few more minutes
He just gave the ball away in the centre after trying to dribble, needs to avoid that

Yeah solid half again. Changed the game. Gave a great ball to lukaku who really should have scored. Then had a chance himself that he chested down well but couldn't hit the target as he was falling (should have got it on frame). A good low effort from outside the box too. Link up play strong and intelligent as usual.
Not sure why mou insists on not just starting him dybala and lukaku up top. He claims defensive solidity is compromised but they concede all their goals in the times when these 3 arent on together.
Critical win for roma as they are now tied for 4th. Napoli will play inter today with chance to reclaim that spot in 45 mins.
Next week Roma will be at home to fiorentina, who are having a good season and just 1 point behind them.

good half of football from him...!
He certainly had positive impact for roma off the bench in 2nd half...!! Roma were by enlarge toothless offensively w/o him on the pitch in the first half regardless of couple of good moments by Dybala which were saved by Sass MVP keeper ..!
it pretty much became one way traffic on sass up on Sardar's intro to the game at start of the second half and especially so after Sass went down to 10man ..!
nearly had an assist and a goal..!
released Lukaku on 1v1 but he rid by shooting directly at keeper and brilliantly brought a highball service to his feet at top of the box and picked out a perfect spot on goal for the finish, but somewhat unluckily miss connected with the ball and shanked the shot wide. the sigh of relief from the keeper on that instance was a clear indication that had he connected well it woulda been in back of his goal...!
contributed good bit defensively too by frequently retrieving back to top of his own box and help transition roma back into attack..!
he looked completely spent and was breathing outa his ass by 5th min of injury time... clear sign that he still doesnt really have anymore than a half of solid performing football in him in Europe..!!? unless not expected to contribute defensively much..!!

Irregardless of what Sardar does, he needs to be much more clinical in front of goal, cause he is competing with top players who you never know the bellotti guy may score a hat trick one day then Sardar minutes will dry up fast , he needs to try and be a little more selfish in front of goal especially if the team is going to win the game …

Damn! His minutes growing with 45 today. I guess this is becoming the best move for him from a team melli standpoint. His physical conditioning is maybe the best it’s ever been and will only improve. Just needs a bit of his old sharpness back which will come given his increase in playing time.

Clearly JM’s second half changes in multiple matches to include 3 strikers (with Azmoun as the third hybrid striker) have paid off time and time again when they need to win and/or come back. Today’s match was a perfect example. As mentioned already, not sure why he’s not going With this formation to start. If worried about Azmoun conditioning, then take him out after 60 min when you already have a comfortable lead. The latter would avoid the nail biter finishes to catch up later in the match.

"This is a totalitarian system whose presence people feel in their blood and in their flesh on a daily basis. And it’s one that does not grant freedoms of any kind, or accommodate people’s demands in any way. What is increasingly clear is that there is clear demand for change in the regime. What the people want is regime change, and no return to the past. There is a very real possibility of regime change." - Nasrin Sotoudeh
