Unfortunately I would also start Lukaku over Azmoun to be honest. Lukaku is on track to break 30-35 G/A by the end of the season for Roma if he keeps up his current pace of scoring. Once Azmoun learns to deliver like that, then he will get started and be able to deliver.

thats not really what anybody is arguing lol.

but Lukaku when truly bad in games he starts, where as the game progresses he shows no signs of life and is actively harming the team, should be subbed. It got them 3 pts vs frosinone when sardar took over at 9 and worked well in the subsequent game sardar started as well.

Even if today he wanted to leave Lukaku on, there needed to be an offensive sub made to get more penetrative runs in fwd positions. Instead de Rossi was fucking around subbing in zalewski and spinazzola.

The situation with Lukaku was so dire at point paredes was begging him to make some runs in behind.

i think like Ardalan mentioned, Lukaku is a dick and not a good character at all when things aren’t going his way. They have a crucial run in and obviously will need Lukaku, they prefer to keep him happy even if he costs them points in the hope that he will score enough in the run in to get them CL.

We all think that our players are way better than they are. And when they don't get the playing time that we want, its all doom and gloom. Be patient and be happy that we have a player in the EPL, Priemeria Liga (soon Serie A), Serie A, and Eredivisie. They'll be examples for the next generation and this will continue. I'm guessing another big reason why they have a hard time trusting him is his being injury prone. The few times Mou gave him a big start last half of season he had a few injury scares and was subbed off a few times. We here even made fun of him and told him to stop acting like a pansy 🤣. It's clear he needs to gain trust of De Rossi and staff health and performance wise

There is statistical fallacy in this argument. Sardar has not played enough minutes to calculate a meaningful goal scoring rate.
