Good cameo for Saman. Positive and inventive touches. Deserves more minutes.

Couple more excellent offensive contributions by saman. 3 or 4 lovely balls. 2 created clear goalscoring chances that olakigbe and mbuemo wasted.
His yellow card was a necessary intervention after some other idiot passed away the ball and everton were breaking.
This guy is a quality player, no idea why they afford him such limited mins... And honestly LWB is a waste even though he plays fine there. The guy is easily good enough to start ahead of wissa or KLP on the sides, or indeed as an 8 in 3 man midfield.
I think the last TM games actually did him some good, especially the bulgaria match where he was by far the best player on the pitch against a semi decent EU opposition. Just goes to show the TM choice for him isn't all doom and gloom and at this stage can actually be beneficial in potentially securing him more mins for brentford.

Thought he played really well today... He honestly deserves more playing time
It's strange how Brentford fans almost expect him to be some Ronaldo-esque savior off the bench... They need to lower their expectations. He's not gonna come in and threaten goal and outpace fast wing backs
He literally plays wingback himself. His main job is to defend, and he defended quite well.. His second job is to play the ball forward and provide good balls to his teammates, in which he fed Mbuemo and Olakigbe two amazing through balls that should have been scored.

he came in for the LB/LWB Hickey and much of the minutes afforded he seemed weary of pushing forward and sorta scared of getting caught out on his defensive duties (thus pissin off Frank..!?) but the few times he was afforded a bit of risk into attacking half he looked much more comfortable combination play and releasing and connecting with some brilliant balls into the attacking 3rd of the pitch ..!
only during the last 5minutes or so when that useless joojeh Pothead was finally subbed off, he pushed up bit more into the attack down the left wing and you see that's where his strength and brilliance shine ..!!
He just aint got much defensive bones in him.... sure he hustles back and tries to get defensively involved (so as to not annoy the coach) but his defensive positioning/posture is mostly off and not much of stout defensive tackler either..!
i just dont understand why Frank doesnt trust him with more playmaking/attacking duties a position where he is clearly comfortable in and often shines and is so damn brilliant @.??
anyways overall it was a pretty decent 15-20 of action from him ... i felt it still coulda been more spirited and energetic considering the game situation , down 2 goals with time running out ...but much of his hesitancy seem to stem from lack of confidence and mostly being scared of getting caught out defensively ...?

100% Saman should at least be in the midfield rotation at Brentford.
Some coaches can be very stubborn. Once they pigeonhole you into a specific role/position, it’s very difficult to escape it. Partly, because they don’t want to be proven wrong,
I’m still baffled as to why he got relegated to the bench after his good performance in his first midfield start against Aston Villa during his first year in the EPL…
GN’s trust in Ghoddos has helped him look sharper now.

Yes, Brentford look to be very unlucky with first team injuries at present so looks as thought some people may get their wish and see Ghoddos deployed in a more attacking role, currently the only 4x midfielders and 4x forwards ahead of him at present so he'll definitely fit into the rotation somewhere over the next 2 months, possibly even getting a start tomorrow.
The squad still looks very thin in all areas so I don't doubt he may feature in that LWB role from time to time.
