What do they see in Milad? I'm just curious. Why did he even get a call up? He's benched by his own club. He was responsible for at least multiple goals we received in the world cup because he couldn't mark Dest and Saka even once, to the point Taremi was screaming at him.

At this point GN is just trying to have a good showing at AC, so he can keep his job. He is not experimenting with new players. He has no vision or even willingness to bring in newer younger players. In his mind, he gives no care to how TM performs when he isn’t the coach. That’s why hiring a guy like him is so terrible for TM. You should bring in a competent coach that you feel can lead you to a good WC performance. Then let him experiment for the next year, before really getting into the main team selection.Comment

Unfortunately Iran is not like France, and U23 players need results or it is 2-3 years of mandatory military service for them. Kanaani should be dropped permanently imo.
