I disagree. He's not doing much to keep possession in the back. All he does is clear balls as soon as they come his way or give aimless long balls. I would still prefer Hosseini / Kanaani to him.

He has his faults as a player, but he always leaves it all out on the field when he plays for TM. He sacrificed his body/head many times vs Uruguay.

Niazmand passed his initial test and maybe looking to replace beiro pretty soon. I liked his footwork and his positioning on stopping the shot and he showed confidence in his exit from goal.

For all the criticism Mohebbi gets, the guy is active on the pitch. Not a bad performance at all. He's all over the field and is involved in most of the dangerous attacks including the goal.

ideally you'd need a no nonsense physical enforcer CB and then one more organized and clever one with good vision and passing from the back...!!
him and kannani were ideal and big key to eskoocher's successful short spell in charge of Tm..!

Taremi is a human being and I understand that he is mentaly drained after Porto did him like that and that he is not mentaly there anymore right now, its human and normal, we fans where totaly drained and mad, imagine Taremi himself, BUT.....

He really need to pick himself up and regain his old form, if he lead us to our fourth asian cup title after a 47 year title drought he will be inmortal in iranian and asian football and surely a top 4 leauge team will snatch him for free next summer.

I havent been paying attention to his distribution, but as far as his defensive play is concerned, it's been very impressive.

Man Nourallahi has not been adding anything to midfield, I think he needs to be subbed out for Karimi tbh. He can't pass at all. This team would be a great team right now if Nourallahi got subbed out and Haj Safi was replaced by Jalali (sucks he didn't get invited)
