Its unfortunately not possible to play Saman JB Taremi Azmoun on at the same time. With Azmoun up front as striker. Either you need Taremi behind him or Saman. Neither Saman nor Taremi have the pace to play on the wing for 90mins.

We played like a 24th place team at the World Cup. Nothing to write home about and totally pointless in the grand scheme of things. I don't know why you guys still bother following this nonsense.

his sloppiness in possession and stupid give-aways , unable to shield the ball better and deal better with physicality are his trade-mark shortcomings...!! he still tries hard and is a damn dangerous player when afforded large spaces and more time on the ball... and our best outside shooting threat in TM..!

I don't know what game you guys were watching, but he made some really good passes in transition, pressed really well, and have some steals.

Ghoddos can replace Noorollahi
I know Noorollahi is more of a CDM, but I'd still take Ghoddos over him in the middle

I cannot say this was a great game and the opponent was strong but it was good enough to test players as well as the overall team's performace.

There is not a lot of time left before Asian Cup starts so it is critical to put everything to test quickly and decisively.

The usual problems more or less surfaced today but more prevailing is the team's need for fresh blood. We have reached the end of line with some of the players like Ramin, PAG, Noor, Milmo, and regretfully AJB. They have not been producing for a long time. On top of that some of the new slections are questionable. Mohebi just doesn't have it ..you can tell by his style and understanding of the game. No need to test for a long time. Moghanlou is another .. not TM material.

The team strategy and execution needs major improvements. You cannot afford to miss opportunities with Japan, Korea, Australia and Saudi. They will punish you in a tense competition like Asian Cup.

- Horrendous decision making in the final third, poor quality of passes in the fast breaks and in front of goal. Taremi 4/10 today wasted a ton of attacks and good moments. Mohebi 3/10 today extremely selfish in front of goal, never looks to make a team play.
- Defense was solid, Bulgaria had basically no impact on the game
- At best, semi final of Asian cup. At worst, R16 exit to an underdog team.

Beiro, - it really showing that he may not be really training that hard get used to being the number 1

niazmand - had a good game , I think he is ready to replace beiro..

Rezaeian, has ok game, did make a very poor decision with his passing , could have had 2 assists

Shoja, look sharp today covered well

PAG, was good enough

Hajsafi, as long as he doesn’t try and play with the ball he is ok

Nourolahi, honestly he was kind lost on the field, should not start , Ali karim much better option

Ezatolahi, was ok

Ghoddos, mvp

JB, showing lack of form and speed

Mohebi was good but poor decision making sometimes

, Taremi wasn’t his usually self but Serbian referee was awfull


the referee called 3 plays offside that were clearly onside

we were clearly the better team , but Bulgaria did play a young line up, it be nice if we used some younger players in the future

After 5-6 games under the general finally we have a decent one to talk about. It was by far the best performance under GN, still some stuff to be desired as things got a little sloppy in the second half but more than decent overall.

- Jaye Jalali vaghan khali bood. Hajsafi was good going forward but defensively is such a liability.

- Saman was witho ur question MOTM. All the BS said by his haters about him not having enough mins blah blah blah was all nothing more than nonsense. Of his 35 TM caps, 5 of them maybe weren’t very good but this guy has always been the best midfielder when on the pitch for TM and he showed it again today, after having less of a pre season/start to a season than any single player on the squad. @ haters….sit down and shut up!!!

- one of Taremi’s worst TM cap by far. Should have had 2-3 goals easily.

- Ezi made some great plays in key areas that lead to chances being created….also despite lack of consistent mins at his club he showed he still is a must have in the squad.

- Shoja did very well in most areas, he made lots of important clearances and didn’t allow many shots to come in from the middle of the box. He still leaves a bit too much space behind him sometimes but today didn’t pay for it.

- ramin was solid defensively but was awful going forward he couldn’t connect with anyone on the flanks or play any successful crosses into the box.

- moghanlou clearly does not look to be TM material he has been given many chances at this point and never once has looked even decent.

- Mohebi is a super low IQ player with a very limited skill set. He has good physique and slightly above average speed but doesn’t know how to use it and in possession makes bad decision after bad decision. His pressing and hustle was good….that’s it, he is a poor man’s mehdi Torabi.

- as much as I hate that bache akhoond torabi he is a damn good footballer and a complete midfielder/winger and would have been perfect to pair up with saman…..I wanted to see some of him and sadegh today but hopefully in the Angola match we see some of them.

A very good game overall but we were much better in the first half when Saman was on the pitch.

Its a crime CQ hardly played him in the WC. We really needed him and Torabi to start against the US as we had completely lost the midfield to their speedy players.

I also like how we were pressing from the front, something else we should have done against the US instead of sitting back deep in our own half and just defend and defend.
