The way i see it is that this is probably azmoun's last Asian cup . I doubt he will be fit enough in 2027 to play in next asian cup. He'll be 32 by that time and unless something drastic happens, I don't see him either play in WC 2026 or Asian cup 2027.

The problem is the General needs to keep his job and wants the team at the strongest it can be. I am just worried Sardar risks injury in a useless game (before the Asian Cup) which would be terrible
I hope his fitness can make him less injury prone, it seems like Roma has better facilities and diet management than Bayer

It might sound sad saying this, but Iran 2-0 wales watching that live with my family was one of the best moments of my life

I bet you on bragging rights only...
IF sardar come for 2023 ac,
          SARDAR
Will be in wc2026 and 27 ac.

He will 100% be there. Iranian players don't retire until like 36 long after they lost their fitness and talent

Wish I could relate. Let’s just say, during the time of everything going on with the protests, my views regarding TM were vastly different compared to the others in my house. While I was screaming and crying from happiness around 5-6 AM, I was simultaneously getting yelled at for waking them up and celebrating a team that represents blah blah blah

                If he comes for ac23,
ac 27 will be his last tournment. and after ac27
he will play for either pp or ss or tt before he retires.

Only way I see if sardar come for ac23 AND TM WINS IT ALL AT AC i can see him retire from tm in wc26 and dont go to ac 27.....and still retire in pgl.

Oracle jan, you're willing to miss work for friendlies? For the World Cup, World Cup Qualifiers, Asian Cup, I understand, but for a friendly vs Jordan? I respect you, good sir.

Totally understand lunch breaks, but ditching work altogether for a friendly vs Jordan is a level of commitment that I am not even willing to adhere to

I guess walking over 13 miles at pitch dark 3am
to get to a bar to watch KSA match VS kuwait or qatar which it result had direct impact on tm 98 wc appearance wont even cross your mind...
I did that back in 97 when all qualifiers was close circute.., there was times during that walk I thought I never make it.🤣🤣

Good, since he isn't playing for his club, he needs to play for TM to stay in game shape.
