Great performance by Iran but honestly this Qatar is more like a Shotor than a team. So far we have not been really tested so plz hold your horses a bit.

Good victory. But.......... This is the same Qatar team that a few months ago lost to Panama 4-0, Lost to Haiti (yes Haiti) 2-1.
Qatar is not the problem in AC. It is going to be Japan, SK, Aussies and KSA.
Admittedly, TM played way better than the game against Jordan. But:- Let's hope that the improvement continues with a few more friendlies.
- Let's hope the incompetent IRFF does not f**k up the preparations or fly to Qatar via Thailand.
- TM is not very deep, let's hope there are no serious injuries before then.
- Let's hope the usual backstabbing around Iranian coaches does not start again and detract from preparations.
- Let's hope IRI does not drive a wedge between TM and the people again. Let's hope they do not turn the game against Palestine into a circus.
And viva TM.Sign this petition to show opposition to US/UK support for the Rajavi/MKO cult

Most of the game was spent passing the ball between Shoja, PAG/Kanani, Beiro, Ramin and then we would somehow bezan ziresh our way into an attack. Ghoddos is really good at the TM level but he’s no Xavi and can’t handle the entire playmaking duty. Not sure what the solution is because it’s not like we have great midfield quality but I hate watching the same bezan ziresh football every time there’s a TM game when we have absolute quality in our two strikers. This same problem occurred under Skocic and if we unlock it, we could genuinely become the best team in Asia by far.
I can count on my one hand the number of times Ghoddos has been featured as a central midfielder.
He has so much potential, it’s unfortunate that we don’t have high level coaches to further develop his playmaker potential. Details like positioning and movement are 100% coachable. His touch, composure, and IQ are already there.
I also think he’d be much more impactful in a more advanced role right behind the strikers, as an AMF. He has a great shot that’s sadly hardly ever utilized.

The team need to analyze the opponents better, players need higher IQ, and they need to be of one accord when executing tactics and strategies.
If they do this, with the attacking quality we have, they will fvck Japan up, send Aussies back to british prison colonies and make Koreans cry.
In this game, we saw glimpses of attacking prowess in the first 50-55 minutes. But they were way too predictable and tried the same type of attacks every time, through ball after through ball. The opponent defenders just needed to play on routine to stop iranian attacks. With a bit of luck too they stopped everything.
When Iran started to vary in their attacks they made the Qataris extremly uncomfortable. Thus the team needs to have varieties of attacks that every player know and they need to execute those attacks. They flanked the qataris, they started to actually shoot and play safe instead of waiting for key opportunity etcetera. They rattled the bus.

Gholizadeh's technical presence is missed heavily too.
I think Milad as LB should be permanent imo, his speed and hustle is good even if he is not best at attacking. His pace will be useful against faster teams like SK and Japan.
Ghoddos adds SO much stability everywhere on the field, he needs to start every game

If we do not play at least 1-2 top 20 teams before the Asian Cup, we will be taking a massive gamble and risk getting knocked out in the quarters or semis.
The Federation HAS to be working 24/7 to arrange these type of friendlies or delemoono alaki dareem khosh mekoneem with these victories.

let’s not ask for things that are literally not possible in the framework of international football.

I'm guessing going forward Milad will be our starting LB. While he isn't the best attacker, I appreciate his pace and energy from the back defensively.
Also....Antonio Manicone....what a guy. He is for SURE involved in starting Ghoddos and making our defensive structure better from last game.
Lastly....Ezatolahi leaves a lot to be desired still. I don't know if it was the bad pitch but he kept on tripping this whole break after kicking the ball

This will be GN first and last trophy!
Qatar was not a good team today. Even worse than Jordan and far from its good shape at last AC. Carlos is building this young team for the next World Cup. He knows Qatar has little chance to win the AC next year... He won't get fired for this meaningless result.
