He showed this with what it should be an inferior team against the current Asian champions.

You get CQ and you know you ain't gonna win zip.. maybe some youth tournament only. Only job he could keep in his life as a head coach was Iran's. And even there he got fired..

All kidding aside, I think it's becoming pretty clear that God King was not a God King after all.
The General has not won against a top 60 team in the world

I don't want to hear it, even 4-0 vs Qatar not convincing enough

Let me see and get this straight
When cq tied Portugal 2016 European Champs
1-1 and came within inches of beating them
2ALL CQ HATERS SAID OH THAT was 2016 and 2 years before the wc Portugal won the cup.

But when general beats a afc champ qatar almost 5 years later, cq haters are referring to qatar current Champs .....

i keep rubbing my chin wondering ...

Babak jan admit cq is greatest foreigner hc on tm ever.

        I am not stubborn person.
On the fact that cq made a mistake by not subbing him out up 2-0 is cq fault.
You keep saying you’re not stubborn Kateb but i have never seen anyone defend a fraud (CQ) like you do. 5 straight tournament failures is apparently not enough for you to open your eyes.

Yeah it’s not convincing enough to beat the reigning champions with 4 goals. What is convincing is drawing them 0-0 (2012) in front of 90k with 0 clear goal scoring opportunities. Or relying on a 90+3 Gucci goal 4 years later (2016) in front of 100k this time to save your ass. Smh.

He’s defendable for 5 tournament failures in a row? Perhaps you wanted him staying longer so he could complete his 3rd AC failure as well?

Branko was better than him, at least he beat a big team like S.Korea in AC, while equaling CQ record of AC semi & WC GS exit with just 1 attempt in each tournament.

You are going back to 2012 to dig at CQ for a 0-0 draw. And don't mention we beat them 1-0, 1-0, 2-0, 1-0, and 2-1 under him.

Not replying to you anymore, I'm convinced you're trolling

It’s your own choice who you reply to. Funny thing is all the result you just brought up come nowhere close to 4-0, quite evident who is trolling here lol.

CQs greatest achievement imo is changing our legionnaire landscape. Even the transfer of Taremi alone (our greatest legionnaire/maybe player ever) is due to CQ and that is enough to make him our best HC ever.

                          Comment

All of these discussions are quite irrelevant. Koroush or Jendehral or Eskoscher or Ahamadinejad-Kohan. Problem is that TM have lacked a continuity before but now it doesn't. We are actually progressing. 2014 we were okay but didnt have any chance in WC, 2018 we were inches away vs Portugal, In 2022 we were even more close to qualify and make it out of the group. All of these coaches are on a similiar level with their own unique strengths and weaknesses.

If we keep on knocking on a door consistently, someone will finally open it. Its the same regarding TM performances. The worst thing that can happen are disruptions. Like not qualifying for world cup and not competing at the highest levels of Asia, World Cup etcetera. Even a small thing like consistency will have more impact than a specific coach.

No head coach will be the silver bullet that solves all of Irans problems. On the contrary Irans football problems are structural and its macro structures that will determine the iranian performances. How many youth are playing or competing in football? How many fields are there? How is clubs infrastructures and financial situations? What is the general educational level of coaches in Iran? In different sectors and age groups of football? How is the structure of governance? What kind of incentive structures are in place? How is the overall development of all fields and areas of expertise around the core business of football? Doctors? Sport psychologists? Physical training coaches and educators? How do organizations evaluate performances?

Fix these macro issues and I guarantee you we will shit on Japan, Australia and Korea every time we meet them. Who can be so naive to think CQ is good for football or Jendehral is bringing football "home" to paraphrase english fools? Who cares?

For even shittier countries than our own Coach can be the biggest issue. In case you have good players raised abroad. It truly is when a whole national team that ought to be french, belgien, dutch or whatever isnt bc of racism and footballers wanting to play internationally. Ie morrocco that have 95 percent belgian-morrocans that are trained and raised in top notch systems. There one can argue coach is most important factor. This goes for most african countries. Iran on the other hand doesnt have this luxury of having other nations producing our talents. Contrary to these countries Iran have to act like a legit nation and start to ORGANIZE and meet the challenges that comes with competing in international football.

BRONKOO had 4 asian players of the year 🤣
I was gonna stop and said I just check mate you in one sentence but i like u too much to do that to you..
Bronko had ali karimi,Ali daie, khodadad azizi, and mahdavikia, vahid Hashemi, rahman rezaie,jn, his bench was Farhad majidi, moharam navidkia, Hamed kavianpour,Feria zandi, bakhtyarzadeh,Iman mobali, ando, these are players top of my head there were so many more nikbakht, kabi, oh my God if I think harder I can name you many more
HE HAD IN 4 YEARS PERiod the greatest talents in tm history to pick and choose from...
                              what did he do
He got stock in mud like a donkey IN SECOND ROUND OF WCQ losing to jordan 1-0 @ home FIRST EVER OFFICIAL MATCH lose IN HISTORY OF AZADI ,he had call up azizi to get him out of second round of wcq and if azizi said no lol he almost did NO WAY IN HELL tm with all those talents head by bronko wouldnt even make the 3rd round of qualifications.
right there WCQ MATCHES ADVANTAGE GO TO CQ with so much confidence we made wc under him back to back first time in history.

                              asian cups
Both made ac semi both lost. I give tie breaker to
bronko since tm was robbed by the ref against China, and cq was robbed by ref against Australia
                              advantage bronko for ac.

                              For wc advantage cq
                              Bronko 3 games 1pt = 0.33 point per match
cq 9 matches 8pts= 0.88 points per match.

CQ defeats bronko 2-1 on 3 important stages.

Cq inherited arguably worst talent in last 44 years and built a team from scratch
                              WHILE
BRONKO inherited THE MOST INCREDIBLE TALENT OF PLAYERS in last 44 years ON SILVER PLATER.

i had you at hello when you said bronko.

I give you another chance pick any hc in last 44 years that you think is better than cq or pick another foreigner hc in history.....

CQ gave us the best WC results in team melli history in 2018. He was the first coach to qualify us to back to back world cups.

Also, if I’m not mistaken, he gave us the highest number of good results against top 20 teams (Portugal, Senegal, Wales, Uruguay, etc.) in team melli history.

His personality, how he achieved his results, his shortcomings, those can all be a subject for debate.

But for his achievements, I will forever be grateful.

Most importantly, he laid out such a great foundation of players that future coaches like Skocic and now GN, is currently benefiting from.
