They have clear plans in their attacks and if you watch the goals you can predict where each pass will go before it does. Very European style.

Our plays always have at the minimum 20% Entropy
Think we created solid chances but taremi and Azmoun just didn’t finish - we should have had an extra 3

Other than Ghaedi we lack the clinical finishing

I agree, but realistically the crosses we have always have that level of uncertainty like today. We do not know if it will go in or not. Japan passes themselves into 1v1 situations.

I think specific networks buy the broadcast rights for individual matches.
Hopefully that doesn't happen for TM games.

Indonesia is on the rise, they also tied Saudi. Whole team is U23 and a good amount of their players now scattered throughout Serie A, Eredivisie, and minor Bundesliga teams. Will be exciting to see where they go in the next few years.

Australia though, the problem is Graham Arnold. He only plays his own favorite players for his system. Fans are mad that he's not flexible and that he's not calling up better players that are available.

Apparently Aussie coach Graham Arnold has resigned from his position no doubt due to a poor start by his team in this campaign.

For those of you not old enough, Arnold was subbed in the famous Iran - Australia game in Melbourne which led to our qualification to the WC after 20 years.

No surprise - losing 1-0 at home to Bahrain is a sackable offence for any top 5 Asian team

With that same poor team he got them to the round of 16 in World Cup 2022. He wasn’t that bad. He certainly knew how to motivate.

I always thought that he was a decent coach and did one hell of a job in WC 22. Something that we should have done also, but CQ screwed it up.

But I guess now Arnold has realized that he has lost the edge, and his stay will only harm his team. So he is stepping down.

Something that you will almost never see from an Iranian coach.

With all respect to Australia, they were also well suited to their group.

Denmark preRasmus Hojlund and a flaky Eriksen made it possible for Australia to just hold on by outrunning before getting a winning goal.

They have not been the same since Tim Cahill, Mile Jedinak, Robbie Kruse, and Aaron Mooy retired from the team

This Australian team might get much better if a decent coach comes by. The thing with Arnold is he also loved players who fit his system like workhorses who can just keep running for 180 minutes. Quite a few times ive seen fans angry because he skipped over younger players or well performing ones domestically and abroad from what I've seen
