For anyone who is bored, this is the full game of Hong Kong vs Bhutan 2nd leg where Bhutan actually beat them.
Some information about Hong Kong's team from doing research.
Their Most capped striker is Matt Orr who is 6'2 forward who can adapt to either side(played RW last game)
They have two new players from last time we played them who are of African descent Michael Udebuluzor and Mahama Awal.
Based on the video it looks like at times Hong Kong tries to send long balls to them to take advantage of counter attacks or do early crosses.
Hong Kong did not call up two of their senior CBs Helio and Fernando. Helio was their most capped defender(33 games) so their defense will be makeshift and we should take advantage. I watched about 20 min of their game and it looks like from a discipline standpoint their strikers do not come back to support to get behind the ball. That means we should have close to 70-80% possesion and constantly ping the ball around to create chances if the space exists in the midfield.
They play a 4-3-3 formation unlikely they change it as they have not practiced anything else in a long time. If Taremi drops behind Azmoun to make plays their team will be in for a long night. All we need is one deep lying midfielder to control tempo.
We should try to hit them as early as possible so they have to open up to score. That way the rest of the game we should push to practice making as many chances as possible before our much harder game next Tuesday vs Uzbekistan.
