Penetrated the HK defence through the middle in the first half more than any other player, had a good cross to Sardar that should have been a goal, tracked back defensively killing a couple of HK counters.

I don't think he had a great performance, but it also wasn't "drop him from the team" bad either.

Mohebbi outside of his assist was worse. Ramin was awful, no good crosses, plenty of misplaced passes.

anyways it doesn't matter, his no contact injury didn't look good based on his reaction, so the ARJ haters will get their wish watching Basiji boy run around the pitch with his head down and give zero effort defensively covering for an awful Ramin.

Did you miss all his bad passes, stuttered decisions, giveaways, over-complications etc....?

Who here, in fact who ever could be an ARJ hater - he is the most popular TM player and everyone gets so excited when he does well. He is the most likeable guy and when he is on form or scores a classy goal or does a cultured pass it is fantastic.

I just don't know how you can ignore all his mis-placed passes and poor decisions today

The guy is just good at eating tokhme and identifying who was in CQ team. Honestly where in the world a coach without reference like GN would get no pressure.

Taremi played some amazing touches today. was really impressed.

I just wonder what things would be like in a world where we didn't have Taremi and Azmoun. We would hvae had Ansarifard partnering with different fowards over the years.

What happens when they retire? Will we ever have two forwards like that again?

Don’t make things up man. Torabi hustle on defense is one of his best assets, his passing is excellent.

Arj was awful, tripping over himself on multiple occasions, poor decision making, way too many touches. Like I have said before, vs any level opponent when he complicates his game it gets way worse. The fact he can’t recognize this consistently with all his eu experience is concerning.

Besides the second half of last season, he's very inconsistent regarding those aspects of his game. He'll play hard for one match, and for the next three jogs around the pitch on defence or dribbles for way too long and gets himself in weird situations he could have avoided by passing earlier.

Regarding ARJ this match, I don't think there's any changing my mind (unless we can get some individual player stats from this match). Most players were slipping, plenty of misplaced and shol passes even from the likes of Taremi and Saman. Just look at the Feyenoord threads. I'm the first to be critical when he's actually very bad compared to his teammates. In my eyes, today he wasn't as bad some others. I guess let's just agree to disagree on that.

I also don't understand why GN is egoistly so afraid for his job than TM. Even if he is fired tomorrow, his career is mostly behind him, and he will re start coach ipl teams after ipl teams after TM.

He looked really hungry for goals .. never have I seen him that sorta khoreh & eager to get his second..!
his approach play was insane good but as usual finishing left much more to be desired…really liked seeing him cutting in & taking that shot that keeper barely saved though ..! Need to see more of that from him ..! 👍🏼
fking ref denied him a clear PK & from my first views his tap-in into empty goal from Sardar pass was Not offside..!? Is there VAR in todays match !? He sure looked right on line with Sardar at the time of pass release ..!? In all honesty that marginal offside was primarily mehdi’s FK up .. Shoulda known better than to rush his run & get ahead of the pass that looked to be coming all along ..!

Reporter asked Azmoun after the match if he is happy with the coaching staff. Azmoun said "what kind of question is that" and walked away. Lol, the sports reporters in Iran are worse than us.

With questions and vultures like that though, it's why players and staff in TM react defensively to most questions and criticism.

Weak game by taremi. Did not expect him to be this selfish, ruined other people's chance + he did not bother to create any chances for other players.

Mohebi Should play taremi's position . Trust me he'll be more efefctive in that position.


AGAIN CQ is an idiot for benching Ghoddos. Ghoddos was only benched because CQ always wants to start with big physcial players so he can play anti football. Lets not forget how he ditched Top form Khalatbari who helped us reach WC14.

The game was won by a healthy margin of 4 goals to none but I doubt if anyone can say we also won in the performance category today!

We seem to have these lapses in all games no mater if the opponent is weak or strong. We look unable to do the simplest thing and commit mistakes after mistakes. The weaker teams gain strenght and confidence and the stronger ones, will of course punish us on our own lack of concentration and focus.

In every sports consistency is very important. We need to work on that if we want to win Asian Cup.
