What a sad today was. Been up since 4am like a lot of the rest of you. It feels like today went by so slow and sluggishly, constantly thinking about both our games that ended on a sour note. November 21 is a day to forget. Back to AFC champions league and European football. Come on Persepolis, sepahan, Taremi, azmoun, Jahanbakhsh (if he’s healthy, hajsafi/milmo, moharami.

Cheer up boys I hope this was a big wake up call to the clowns in the IFF who really think that GN was their saving grace ….. we will get through this and I hope they bring in younger players and start to incorporate new faces
on the side note ….
Anyone know they extend of Saman injury, is it serious , prognosis???

Even the first half, outside of the handful of counters we had, the Uzbeks were dominating the ball and just couldn't finish in the final third.
Iran under GN is skocic with discipline. Still going the get owned by better Asian teams.
I dont know if we have young players in league who can bring freshness to the team, but if we dont have them no coach in the world can do something with this squad.
i mean look at our bench, we really dont have anyone who you say if he comes in he might change the game.
we need to rebuild and speed is really something we need in future TM, speed speed speed.

Funnily enough we never had Uzbekistan in any of our qualification groups until World Cup 2014 campaign.
I really think Uzbekistan's best chance to qualify was 2002. Unfortunately both Iran and Uzbekistan messed those campaigns up very badly.

Our two defenders were playing with their backs to the goal waiting to close down the runner. Their CF was facing our goal and managed to get a step on our defenders on that poked ball. It was up to Biranvand to spot that run and rush the forward and make himself big instead of taking a couple of step forward and freeze on the 6 yard line. The second goal was partly Cheshmi’s fault who headed the easy ball wrongly to the middle of the field and started the counter for them. I agree that the coaching was subpar. Subbing Azmoun out was a dumb move. JB’s absence was felt mostly because of his fighting spirit and his presence forcing the opposing team to play deeper. We basically had no ability to go up the wings and send any crosses in. Torabi was very ineffective the whole game. In the first half even with Saman playing a solid game, Taremi dropped back deep several times to help establish possession and eliminate the pressure. I did not notice any of that in the second half.

obviously didnt mean it to be that... it goes back to him being way too sluggish and slow player... couldnt get in position fast enough to make a proper tackle ... so all he could do was to toe poke it back hoping for a defensive clearance by a teammate.. but outa shitt luck perhaps ball found its way beautifully for uzbek attacker to tuck in goal..!
Bey was far more at fault for conceding the 2nd goal than first ... he totally misjudged that cross into his box ... and he had if positioned right and capable enough of a keeper he coulda/shoulda collected that Cross before arriving comfortably at feet of on rushing attacker for a simple tap in..!! But then again the Mistake on conceding that goal goes back to Milmo clumsily conceding possession that kickstarted that Swift Counter while both kannani, shoja, ramin had pushed up way deep into attack..!! But then again that is Footballe Hoojoomi 4ya....!! often could come back to bite you in ass Quick if your players lacke the class, composure and skills to not commit silly giveaways while pushing up to padd the scoreline..!!
perhaps if GN was a more seasoned and clever and capable coach and he wasnt a1dimentional attacking all the time tactician (as bragged such by himself in post match interv.) he coulda noticed that regardless of the somewhat fortuitous 2-0 early lead in a hostile away environment against a clearly motivated hard-playing and dangerous opponent .... it would be Wise to pull back a bit as a whole team (CQ style) and resort to a more sensible ultra defensive and countering tactics..!!
ha💡 ..?
but then again its all IF my aunti had a dick THEN she'd be my uncle.. sorta bs reflections now..! all we could hope to see if GN learned a lesson from this Tie/almost loss?? and whether he'd try to adapt a Secondary More defensive/conservative Team strategy for the next key fixtures?? or did he take a note of his first choice team's sever lack of Youth and Speed and weather he'd attempt to resolve that issue by giving proper chances to some promising youngsters to establish themself in our side b4 AC..? or wonder if he even noticed that his squad as a whole are in dire need of some serious Conditioning and Stamina improving Mini camp prior to AC tourney..???
