JB's hustle and drive was greatly missed in this game. Torabi was terrible. Hossainnejad for injured Ghodos was the substitution to make. Most of these players cannot play under pressure. We set up both of their goals.

lucky to escape with a draw. This is 100% coaching. Uzbek made adjustments at halftime while GN had chai called his khaleh.

GN has done some things right. His xi selection is improving, the decision to make midfield a combo of saeid, ghoddos, taremi was brave and certainly an upgrade to whatever we have played there before - incl. under sko and CQ. But he is tied to the quality of the guys he starts. If anything happens and he needs to do mid game adjustments ghorbanat. He will go for "safe" options that end up killing the team flow every time.

Three things:

1. This game showed how important Ghoddos is to connecting our defense with offense, and creating chances. It became bezan ziresh almost immediately after he left. He is probably our best midfielder out of all of these clowns who can't run faster than a turtle or pass 3 balls together.

2. Our defense was finally tested by a team that is somewhat decent. This is what happens when you play a CB pairing that is mentally weak. Can we give Majid and Hazbavi a chance again?

3. Coaching and mentality are weak. Why were Milmo and Torabi taken out? Why were adjustments not made at half time? Why is GNs reaction to getting conceded on to take out AZMOUN for Mehrdad??? whats the point of minute 95 HJ subs? Why does Ramin and Kanaani look like they wanna cry whenever they face real press?

P.S let's not bring in AK again, he has shown a few times now that he's not TM material, or he is not used correctly. I hope Saman comes back and Saeed learns how to pass again one day.

first 40 mins was best TM in play since Wales match.

After saman sub we went to shit. He needed to sub saman for hosseinNejad and and HosseinNejad only. That would have kept the dynamics in midfield as they are very similar profiles. Instead he chose "experienced" option Karimi...too slow to pair with saeid clearly vs a decent team. He could replace saeid as the 6 if we want to alternate or sub saeid. Thats it.

And for the love of god...no more shoja! OR Milad! These two dumb and dumber cost us first goal. Shojas insistence on long balls when his long balls suck is another major lol. Who told him to do that? And Mehrdad mohammadi is another one trick pony. The guy couldnt hold one ball to save his life.

Torabi was a major threat when saman was on the pitch and the attack was clicking, he should keep his spot in xi. Mohebbi gave us a good outlet in terms of speed, losing him also damaged any counter chances.

That second half was the worst half of football I’ve seen TM play for as long as I can remember. Our “coach” got absolutely schooled, came out with no changes expecting the same but the Uzbek coach employed an extremely effective high press, and made perfrct subs.

However on our end, we made only horrible substitutions (Ali Karimi has yet to have a good game in TM and is a shame to the name, Ghoddos injury completely ruined our midfield control and passing. Kanaani was a mess with the unnecessary yellow and zeros defending on the second goal, he has shown that once he loses his temper, he will not gain it back. Torabi didn’t make one effective dribble or pass and stayed on, ans continued to do the same. Moheabi has the lowest football IQ I’ve seen with zero link up play)

To make everything worst, we decided to continue to sit back, and double down on it while we couldn’t handle the pressure and brought on Cheshmi for Azmoun, which meant that we would have zero attack left at 70 minutes. So we just put ourselves under even more pressure, given that Mohammadi had zero impact and couldn’t find Taremi.

Don’t get this wrong, this draw is completely the coach’s fault. Literally you couldn’t have made any shittier subs if you tried, he literally handed them the game. Also in what world do you make defensive subs, yet your wing backs are so far up when you’re trying to be defensive that it’s a 2 on 2 for their second goal?! You make defensive subs, then push these players up, then why did you bring them in?!

If that game has gone on 5 more minutes we would’ve lost. shame on the coaching staff, only good players were Ghoddos, Taremi, Ezatolahi.

whats interesting is we have been calling for years on this forum to drop ARJ and Nour. The first game it happens the team looks 20x better. I can't believe the time we wasted with ghoddos and torabi on the bench all these years. And for what? Two dast-o-pache players who totally ruin all buildup play.

That’s really all there is to it, not only did he not make any changes to maintain pressure, he made subs to hand them the game by making the team slower and slower. Painful to watch how bad some of these players are, and how shit the coaching decisions were

Very bad 2nd half. It reminded me of the miserable football played under CQ for 10 years. As members here correctly pointed out, Hosseinnejad should have been subbed in for Ghoddos. Hope GN doesn’t make the same mistake again.

yes. According to members it seemed like a groin injury. He fell and asked for a sub. Once he was subbed out and the bad Ali Karimi was subbed in the game went to s*it.
