What a gem of a player Saman is. We’re very lucky to have him, and it’s sad how it’s taken so long for us to incorporate him consistently in the central midfield. His IQ, composure, decision-making, it’s really a delight to see. This guy should be playing in La Liga.
I thought we actually played well before Ghoddos’ injury, and was actually going to rescind my previous judgement of GN as not being a good coach. Being up 2-0 after 38 minutes was an excellent achievement.
After we lost Ghoddos, aka, GN’s ace card, we sucked badly. A coach being dependent on a single player for the team to play well, is not a good coach.
I prefer Hosseini over Shoja in our backline. He has more composure, better touch, and better distributing skills.
Tying against Uzbekistan, especially in the manner that we did, is 100% unacceptable. I really hope this was massive wake-up call for GN, but I highly doubt he will make the effective changes to get us ready against opponents like South Korea.
I predict a QF exit.

Central Midfield: is a worry. When Ezatollahi and Ghodos are not playing, the replacements such as Cheshmi, Nourollahi, Ebrahimi, Karimi, Sarlak are not as good, among them Nourollahi, Cheshmi are better options. Ali Karimi should not be called up for AC. Would Mohammad Javad Hosseinnejad or Yasin Salmani be good options for CM as backup?
Winger: Mohebi is awful. He was no where to be seen when he was on the field. Preferred options: Gholizadeh, Torabi, Jahanbakhsh, Touranian.
Central Defence: Majid Hosseini, Amin Hazbavi, Saman Fallah are better options than Kanaani. Also I don't like Shoja keep passing backward.
Left Back: Milad Mohammadi is good, however Abolfazl Jalali might be a better option.
Goalie: Beyranvand is good, but I believe Niazmand should be TM number 1 currently, with him in goal I'm sure most fans would be more confident.
Striker: Sayyadmanesh should be backup/sub for Azmoun or Taremi.

One thing I noticed was Shomurodov being angry from before the game started. His anger lasted the entire match. Back in June for the CAFA Nations Cup final he was all joy and was talking to TM players, however in the recent match he kept cursing and pushing TM players.
Is Shomurodov angry with Azmoun for taking his place in Roma? and hence released his anger on the entire TM squad.

We drew we sucked and got outplayed. Ok fine. The real and final test is how much of a lesson was learned and what changes need to be made before our next games. If GN proves he’s adaptable and he’s learned and adjusted and we win then he’s a good coach. But if we falter again. Then his ass is grass! He needs to pack it up and go back to his kabob house and continue growing his belly !

CM : Beside Salmani that is out of the picture for one year, we have Hosseinnejad and Ghorbani. If our TM coach wanted to develop something, they could have invited Khodabandeloo. Razzaghinia could be invited in the list even if he doesn't play.
Winger : with the injuries and players choking, we are very thin. Ghaedi would be on my black list, Mohebi (GN favorite) and JB not guarantee of starting. I would like to try Hashemnejad. Arya Yousefi didn't convince me yet but him or some guy from the U17 list could join the squad
CD : Hossein, Hazbavi, Kanaani top 3.
LB : Jalali and Karimazar
GK : Niazmand should have been tried more often in the 10 useless friendlies we got in 2023.
Striker : I would include Abdi behind Azmound and Taremi, before Allahyar come from the dead.

I can't blame GN for no superstar CM coming out of our football in the past 5 years.
We have Hosseinnejad, but no coach would start him in a high pressure game like yesterdays.
GN made very bad subs, but not having anyone to replace Ghodoos is not his fault.

Did you notice Katanec subbed in 2 youngsters one 20 and the other 21 and one of those guys scored the equalizer.
Our coaches need to throw away the mentality that a youngster cannot handle the high pressure of the game once and for all. Modern Football is passed all that backwards mentality.
GN is the main culprit, first for not testing Hosseinnejad and Hazbavi in the Qatar tournament and ultimately not using them in this game. Instead the moron blames the players for not playing with their heart.
What did you expect when with bringing in Karimi and Cheshmi and taking out Azmoun, you are crippling the entire team.

Well i expected us to lose but we managed to get a draw and i think thats good enough for our team to get their shit together. Uzbekistan was very predictable , They start deffensive and once they concede they take out one CB and bring one attacking player.
Should've brought in Cheshmi or ebrahimi instead of Karimi .
both mohammadi and Ramin were upfront for the 2nd goal. I think mohammadi was way upfront and Kanani totally missed sergeev. I think the new substitute sergeev totally got out of kanani's head to mark during attack.
Over all I am happy with what happened. That was a wake up call for GN to take this shit serious.
My worries:
IF ARJ and Ghoddos get injured we're screwed
We are really missing Gholizadeh
Lack of playing time for younger players
DF line not synced.

We have a league where every team has a starting 11, and has players in midfield. In addition to that, we have players abroad. His job is to invite the best players to play in each position that will suit his tactics. However, he has not introduced a single new player since becoming coach, that has even played a minor role. No a random sub at 92nd minute for a youngster does not count. We are still seeing for the most part Carlos' starting 11 with some Skocic additions. Hell even the charlatan Wilmots found Mohebi!
You're telling me from Ghoddos the next jump is to Ebrahimi for a CM, and there is nobody new to try? Why is Ali Karimi on the team, can you name one single game he has performed? Why bring in a slow Cheshmi in a game where they are employing a high press, you literally hand them the game.
Not having the correct players, and making these idiotic decisions is entirely on this useless coach.
The only thing this coach knows how to do properly is overeat, vaghan he is amazing at that, damesh garm!--------------------------Beiranvand-------------------

Sorry but its not outrageous to give him 45 mins as a sub...
If anything it just exposes poor foresight of GN.
Vs HK when he subbed ghoddos it should have been for his only reasonable deputy, hosseinNejad. With a good half an hour there both the player and staff would have been more comfortable with him taking the pitch vs uzb in saman injury situation.
GN sub of ghoddos for AK totally killed the game not bc Karimi is a bad player, but because he has zero ability to do the job ghoddos was doing.
in this setup he can only function as a replacement for saeid, not a pair.

The 5'11 measurement was from two years ago. He plays CDM role for Pogon B team while he's still 19. Can't be worse than Ezatolahi who is playing in Danish second league right. The kid is supremely talented, reminder he scored 17 goals last year as CDM, even if it is somewhat of a farmers league.
