          Iran topping the group ....

in R16 Will face easy third team from ABF, most likely tajikestan .
          Then in QF south korea
then most 50% chance australia in semi.

I think uzbekistan will top the group and australia will 2nd that. I don't think aussies can cope with the heatwave.

So now the question is would you rather have South korea in QF and Australia in semi??
          Or
would you rather have Japan in QF and uzbekistan in semi ??

U give uzbakistan so much credit, yes they are decent team but not asia elite...
unless Australia decide on purpose not finish 1st,
            that's their group to win.

Honestly the higher we go the easier it will be to shithouse SK/Japan. The challenge is getting past SK. The teams will be so tired by semifinals and will have many injuries/red cards accumulated that it could be shithoused in either direction. I hope that GN will rest Taremi and Azmoun if we get a sizeable score up on Palestine or Hong Kong again. They need to be out by half time honestly if we dont screw it up.

The bigger problem is how are we going to keep Ghoddos functional for at least 6 games in such a short time span

Maybe for the group stages and round of 16 he can consistently come on as a sub for 30 min or get subbed out at halftime. If we can’t control those games without saman, rip

Unfortunately, The Generals' philosophy is to put your best foot down each time. This means he will always field his best starting 11 and will make adjustments when required. He is not built for a tournament-style competition where a full 23-man rotation will be required to have a higher success rate.

Well...if anyone on the coaching team had half the foresight of the average PGPL commenter then they would have thought it would probably be a good idea to give some time to hosseinejad to have saman replacement ready, especially against teams like Hong Kong, Palestine, and UAE.

Off topic, but how far do you think this team would go in a AC and a WC if all played together in their prime.

                          Ahmad-Reza Abedzadeh

                          Mahdavikia J.Hosseini R.Rezaei Minavand

                          Nekounam Ando

                          Karimi jadoogar. Taremi
                          Azmoun. Daei

I give them credit because :
A.) I know their coach is top class
                              B.) They have great talent
C.) They have invested lots of money in their football

We have to wait and see what happens but i feel this uzbek team has potential to beat Japan and Australia.

Knowing how GN acts, he will use sardar and taremi in all games. He might sub them out half time tho in 2nd game.
