Warm Up Talk: Countdown Until the 2023 Asian Cup - 48 days away!
Iraq is always a hard nut for us to crack ( the first leg of wcq 2022 when we won 3-0 aside) but i rather face them 11 times of 10 in a QF instead of SK
Iraq has been weak recently so chances of beating SK is low...the big unknown is how SK will play under Klinsmann in pressure games. Was a big risk to go with Klinsmann and we hope he is their Achilles heel.
Iraq was never a big competition for us, up untill CQ arrived . Iraq also has no chance against SK, they will put 3 sexy goals against them. Out of 31 games we have 7 losses against Iraq and 2 of those loses are from master class CQ and 1 from wilmots.
Our records against Iraq:
Total games: 31
Wins: 17
Draw: 7
Loss: 7 (2 during CQ)
We most likely get arab teams in Quater finals. Most likely Syria .
who did you face in Semi finals ? and did you go all the way to final?
I didnt make the whole tournament just made up the games one by one. Played SK as a QF, Qatar as Semis and Japan as final.
Qatar was actually tough because of physicality. 2-1 win for Iran.
Iran-Japan the first game lost in penalties.(If this happens in real life God forbid we might see mass suicides).
The replay I win 1-0 by 80th min Taremi tap in but they had most of the possession.
Also need to say its not really representative of how the games will play out because Iran's team is always made weak in these games esp in physicality. The Qataris were physically stronger which is BS.

oh lol . Pretty biased if Qatar were more physical than us.
Uzbekistan scored the only goal in the 80th minute.
I would like the Uzbek-member (Khumouzbek i think his name was?) to come here and clarify Uzbekistan goal for this AC as well as his viewpoint on Shomurodov missing the tournamnet.
The Korean member (With Cha-Du-Ri poster on his profile) should come here also.
I have a few questions for him regarding their current team vs 2002 team.
Press high up in their half, bring the 3 lines forward and closer to each other, play physical but not dangerously, have good possession, value every ball and not give it away by blindfully shooting it in the air, stay focused on the game like a real prfessional, not on the ref or other distractions, play safe and simple, follow the plan until final whistle.
