Agha this CQ vs other coaches is getting boring now. Very Childish Discussion . Only %9 of people want him back according to the latest Pool carried out by Khabarvarzeshi . about 160k people voted. CQ turned his back against people and now he is hated by most iranians inside iran.

31% want iranian coach.
35% want foreign coach (exept CQ)

I'm so impressed with how Japan replaced their golden generation with all these young players and now have a transfermarkt value close to 300 million with depth in every position

Even more impressed with Korea who had the same value as Iran before WC 2022 and now has four times that with players coming of age across the pitch

Iran has the oldest squad in Asian cup I believe, which by itself isn't critical but the fact is there are no players coming through the way Uzbekistan, Emirates, Saudi and even Jordan have..

But the damage he dealt to our football is still lingering.

Regarding the General:
* His type of attacking football suits us perfectly, just need to sustain it for majority of 90 min.
* Very refreshing to see Iran create 5-6 100% goal scoring chances every game.
* Only concern was 2nd half vs Uzbekistan, reminded me of the nightmare we experienced for 10 years under CQ. He did cut Ali Karimi though, which makes me confident he won't make the same mistake twice.
* All in all, this AC is in the bag.

I remember this like it was yesterday, travelled to Dublin and met all the players in the hotel after the first-leg. Minavand was the nicest one, Bagheri was so defeatist "hichi, digeh tamoom shod", Mirzapour liked the attention from Irish girls. Chatted to Nekounam and Khaziravi for a bit as well.

Ciro was a big name coach but he should have left the gondeh goozi aside for that WCQ period and focused on the goal - still overall my only main issue with him was that it was because of him that we got his assistant damaging the roots of our football for years until Queiroz could renovate things.
