He was discovered so late and because he was defender he didnt get love, people like mid fielders and forwards...
he can jump so high amazing....

Amazing that we had a player who was a rock for seven seasons in Italy and made the team of the season once, was considered crux for his team. I saw him play once at Perugia he was so solid - the italian papers like gazzetta Della sport called him the "Secretary of Defense". Sure - some Asian players might have had a decent half-season or two like Nakata, Hwan, Honda but seven whole seasons as the key centre back?
